Kaiju No. 8 Volume 16 is Coming Soon
Kaiju No. 8 will get its 16th volume by August 2025, confirming that Kaiju No. 8 is far from over.
On March 4, 2025, a Twitter user revealed that Kaiju No. 8 will release Volume 16 on August 2025.
This came in the aftermath of Volume 15’s release.
There has been no official date, although this is likely based on the established pattern of volume releases, given Kaiju No. 8’s biweekly schedule.
Three volumes are released every year for Kaiju No. 8 as opposed to to the quarterly releases for most volumes for weekly manga.
Volume 16 will contain content from Chapters 120 to 127, the latter coming out by the end of May 2025.
This means we will get more confirmation by around this month or June 2025.
About Kaiju No. 8
Kaiju No. 8 is a manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto for the Shōnen Jump+ app and website since July 2020.
As of March 2025, the series has reached a total of 15 volumes and has sold over 16 million copies worldwide.
The story follows Kafka Hibino, a 32 year old man who ingested a parasitic creature and gained the ability to turn into a kaiju, eventually joining the Defense Force that opposes the kaiju.
Season 1 was released in 2024 produced by Production I.G. (Haikyuu, Heavenly Delusion) with monster designs by Studio Khara (Evangelion Rebuild movies) and adapted the first 38 chapters of the story.
Season 2 will be released on July 2025.
