Kaiju No. 8 To END SOON
We might have yet another rushed manga ending.
A month before the release of its second season anime, Kaiju No. 8 announces that the manga will end in 2 chapters.
Just today, June 5, 2025, Chapter 127 had been released, which would lead into the final destruction of the final boss of the series, the Daikaiju of the Meireki Era.
Fan reception to this news was quite lukewarm, as while some expressed surprise that the series just ended, many have noted that the powerscaling might have exceeded the author’s ability to keep up and that the Final Wave Arc, as the name suggests, is structured to be a final arc, rather than a climax for this point in the story.
Kaiju No. 8 will release Chapter 128 on June 19, 2025.
This means that Chapter 129 will likely release on July 3, 2025, weeks before the release of Kaiju No.8 Season 2.
