Bleach’s Hell Arc BEGINS
After 5 years with barely any news, the long-awaited Bleach: Hell Arc might be a reality
On June 21, 2026, we got a leak hinting that Bleach: Hell Arc, the long-awaited sequel of the Bleach manga, will begin serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump after the conclusion of Sakamoto Days.
This will be serve as the follow-up to the “No Breathes from Hell” one-shot released in August 10, 2021 for Bleach’s 20th anniversary.
Sakamoto Days is already within its last 10 chapters, meaning the manga is likely ending by August.
Considering that this takes place in Bleach’s 25th anniversary and the Thousand Year Blood War concludes around this time, with its airdate of July 25th, this may not be all coincidence at all and a sign of Weekly Shonen Jump making way for Tite Kubo’s grand return.
This also coincides with the release of Hunter x Hunter on June 28th, meaning a large void is filled following the departure of the likes of Jujutsu Kaisen after Modulo and My Hero Academia in 2024.
This has been built up ever since the one-shot and Tite Kubo’s direct involvement with the anime adaptation of the Thousand Year Blood War Arc that began airing in 2022.
About Bleach: No Breathes From Hell
The 73-paged one-shot takes place 12 years after the main timeline of the original series and 2 years after its ending in 2013, where a 30-year old Ichigo joins the Soul Reapers of Soul Society in a ritual for Jushiro Ukitake’s, which reveals the true nature of Hell in front of Soul Society as the place where Captain-class spiritual entities go after death due to their overwhelming Spiritual Pressure.
Szayelaporro Granz, an old enemy of the Soul Society and former No. 8 Espada of Sosuke Aizen’s Army, appears as a Sinner, a creature of Hell, to act as a sacrifice for Ukitake’s descent into Hell.
He also warns that the Gates of Hell have been opened now that the immense Spiritual Pressures of Sosuke Aizen and Yhwach have vanished from the world, leading to an exploration on Bleach’s most mysterious realm and the reason for the Three Worlds being made
