The clock is ticking for the end of Sakamoto Days after its nearly 6-year run.

With the release of Chapter 263: “Awakening”, Sakamoto Days is setting up the final volume with this cliffhanger.

Volume 27 was recently released on March 4th, covering from Days 236: “Car Wash” to Days 244: “Commercial Break”.

Volume 28 is set for August 4, 2026, which will cover Days 246: “Shishiba Said” to Days 255: “Just a Little Bit Now”,

This volume could show either Tanabata, who is in the lead of the next volume, or Shishiba and possibly Osaragi together.

Volume 29 could be released by November or December, covering Days 256: “Seconds” to the next chapter.

If not Tanabata, which may not be fitting for the penultimate volume, it could be Shin himself.

Suzuki is clearly setting up the final volume and it could follow the same trend as Jujutsu Kaisen’s final two volumes being released on December.

After Chapter 264, there will be 9 more chapters, which means that the series will either end on Chapter 272 or 273, and would end on August 24, 2026.

Sakamoto Days has a sold a total of 15 million copies worldwide as of August 2025.
