Were the Original D. Clan Gods? One Piece Chapter 1182 Full Spoilers!

We got more lore on the Gods of One Piece, the introduction of the Rain Goddess Zaza and we are inching closer and closer to solving the truth of the entire One Piece world and its history.

ABD x ONE PIECE © 1997 by Eiichiro Oda/SHUEISHA Inc.

In the previous One Piece chapter, Loki faces off against Imu, who unleashes a copy of Mihawk’s Yoru blade and reflects on his past friendship with his nemesis Joy Boy.

This information is from MbokaKN, who made the briefs before and given the current situation, it is likely not 100% accurate, so take this with a grain of salt.

One Piece Chapter 1182 is titled, “Zaza the Rain God”

This chapter has 16 pages.

The cover features “Isshou enjoying udon noodles lovingly made by a fox and a raccoon”

Good on him!

Editor’s note: “After getting hit by Loki’s “Thorheim,” Imu is…?!”

Ragnir’s Devil Fruit Revealed

Loki continues to fight in his Mythical Zoan form and utilizes his lightning abilities in tandem with his weapon Ragnir.

Ragnir is revealed to be a hammer that consumed the Mythical Zoan Squirrel Squirrel Fruit Model Ratatoskr.

This allows Loki to combine ice and lightning in his attacks.

Aztec Myth and the Harley

Imu counters Loki with massive Omen fireballs and a new named technique called Tzitzimitl.

This attack is inspired by Aztec mythology and manifests as a skeletal goddess associated with demons and stars.

Now this attack is not there for simple thematic ties.

Aztec mythology is something related to the lore of Elbaph because of the “Three Worlds” in the Harley Poem in Chapter 1138.

In Aztec Mythology, time is dictated by five cycles of creation and destruction, called the “Five Suns”, wherein

Notably, the Five Suns cycle features Five distinct deities with particular attributes that are somewhat correlated to the One Piece gods.

The First Sun, the God of Darkness and Night, Tezcatlipoca of the North (Yami Yami no Mi)

The Second Sun, the God of Wind and the Feathered Serpent, Quetzalcōātl (maybe Nidhogg)

The Third Sun, the God of Rain, Tlaloc (Zaza)

The Fourth Sun, the Goddess of the Sea, Chalchiuhtlicue (Umi, the Sea)

The Fifth Sun, the God of Sun, War and Sacrifice, Huītzilōpōchtli (Nika)

Four of them were the four Tezcatlipocas or Sons of the Creator Gods of the Cardinal Directions.

These suns are the sun of earth (Tezcatlipoca), the sun of air (Quetzalcōātl), the sun of fire (Huītzilōpōchtli), the sun of water (Tlaloc, replacing Xipe-Totec).

Each son of the Creators takes their turn as Sun and after that, usually when the god is dissatisfied or another sun, such as Tezcatlipoca, is displeased by the current Sun’s favor over humanity, the world ends.

This is relevant because the current sun, Huītzilōpōchtli, is locked in eternal battle with his sister, the moon Coyolxāuhqui, who is assisted by Tzitzimitl, who happens to be a star goddess who commands demons.

Like Imu, who is the archnemesis who slayed Joy Boy, the previous Sun God Nika.

So we can see a pattern that is quite similar to the Aztec cycle.

Was Nidhogg One of the First D. Clan Members?

During the exchange Imu addresses Nidhogg and officially labels Nidhogg a traitor.

The sight of Ragnir also furthers the nostalgia as it feels like the Squirrel was waiting for a new master.

The way Imu talks about Nidhogg, it seems like there was politics over 800 years ago with the gods of One Piece.

Remember what Imu said in Chapter 1085: “The Death of Nefeltari Cobra”, that the D was the name of those who opposed the Alliance specifically.

And later in Chapter 1171: “Ragnir”, Imu said that “Elbaph is D”.

Perhaps Nidhogg, who happens to be wielded by a War God of Elbaph, is one of the first to claim the name D and pass it on to various Giant relatives who would Inherit the Will of D.

Maybe there are variations of the Will of D, since Davy Jones himself was a bearer of that will and yet he is the supposed “King of the World”, something Imu disputed in Chapter 1164: “Davy’s Blood”.

Nidhogg, Davy and Joy Boy were the main rebels but there could also be other gods or gods buried and sacrificed to create the current world.

In a brief scene Robin and Saul discover a hidden room filled with books.

Bilbo the owl is the one responsible for saving this knowledge.

The Final Matchups for the Wings of Two Kings

Both the holy knights have received a significant power boost from Imu.

Sommers displays his new strength by carrying a massive ship on his back alone.

Kilingham uses a technique called MMA to manifest the Rain Goddess Zaza from his own nightmares, his own greatest fear.

This manifestation is so powerful that it floods an entire village immediately.

A brief flashback shows Kilingham mocking Sanji about finishing their mission.

Zoro and Sanji are shown injured by Imu during their previous exchange but they are far from defeated, ready for round two.

They prepare for their final matchups against Sommers and Kilingham.

What Happened to Gunko?

And in the middle of their conversation, Sommers asks Killingham what happened to Gunko.

Killingham replies, “I saw her on the way… and she’s dead.”

Although Sommers is a bit surprised, he doesn’t make a big deal out of it, and they continue talking about other topics as if nothing happened.

In Oda fashion, no body, no confirmation.

And considering how important she is to Brook’s human past, we could see her again, with Brook by her side, resolving their decades-long issues.

The Rain Goddess, Alabasta and Monkey D. Dragon

Killingham (who is both excited and scared) calls Sommers via Den Den Mushi to tell him what he has done.

Sommers replies that creating something like that would scare even them.

He then asks whether Killingham will be able to control it, and Killingham says he thinks so because, at the end of the day, it’s still an MMA.

Kilingham explains the deep psychological fear the World Nobles have regarding rain.

Because they were born and raised high above the clouds in the Holy Land they view falling water as a terrifying anomaly.

As children they were told stories of the Rain Goddess Zaza as a cautionary tale similar to the stories of Nika or the D Clan.

Zaza is the name of the Rain Goddess, first mentioned as far back as the Noland flashback in the Skypiea Arc in Chapter 287: “God Killing”, over 23 years ago.

The name Zaza is an onomatopoeia for rain sound, pronounced “zaza” in Japanese, which fits the naming scheme of Devil Fruits.

Her body is transparent and filled with water.

Zaza is described as a monstrous deity from the lower world who would cover their heads with water. Design includes a long haired woman with four arms and a transparent body filled with water.

She wears a veil and a jeweled cone hat with a white ring floating behind her, similar to the awakened Mythical Zoans hagoromo scarves.

As we stated in our early spoilers, given the rain itself is feared by the World Nobles and especially with Vegapunk’s message about the world’s flooding, it could be that the World’s Most Wanted Criminal, Monkey D. Dragon, holds the World’s Most Dangerous Power, that of the Zaza Zaza no Mi or the Hito Hito no Mi: Model Zaza.

We also theorize that given her attire, Zaza could have some links to Alabasta’s culture or even to Lili herself.

All of these clues point to Zaza being a rebel against Imu.

It looks like the Ancient Kingdom was the Land of the Gods on the Red Line ruled by the Lunarian race.

Among the already angelic Lunarian were the gods who were embodied in the Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits manufactured after the fallout of the First World.

Remember that Imu said that he did not expect to see Nidhogg and Ragnir “in this world”, with world being another way of saying Era.

It could be that Davy Jones was the original king of the Ancient Kingdom that Imu and his alliance of 20 kings intended to replace.

However, it now sounds like there is more to the story than 20 human kings siding with a fallen Lunarian.

Lili might not even be human but she is identified as the sole traitor.

Joy Boy would definitely not be a king but instead be a rebel of peace, the first pirate.

It seems that other gods sided with Imu in the conflict, likely to usurp the “original King of the World”, which would line up with another theory that the Yami Yami no Mi is actually the Earth God devil fruit that unleashed the hellfire serpent, which could be Pluton, named after the god of the underworld, or some other weapon.

This means that with Monkey D. Luffy’s Nika fruit, Davy D. Blackbeard’s Yami Yami no Mi, Loki’s Nidhogg fruit and Dragon possibly having the Zaza fruit, then the D. Clan rise together as Gods in the current world, fighting against the Devil Imu who rules the world.

A Devil who fears the sun, the thunder and the rain.

We are now getting more puzzle pieces and the longer we stay on Elbaph, the more of the Harley Mural will be revealed.

There will be a BREAK NEXT WEEK

One Piece Chapter 1183 will be released on May 25, 2026.
