One Piece in 2026 Will Be Incredible!

One Piece in 2026 will be full of new content, from the live-action to the anime’s own second season, along with hints towards the true beginning of the end for the manga.

ONE PIECE © 1997 by Eiichiro Oda/SHUEISHA Inc.

On December 21, 2025, for his Jump Festa 2026 message, One Piece author Eiichiro Oda has said the following:

“Towards a brighter future for all”!!!

This is O-myaku-da Myaku-ichiro!* In preparation for writing this letter, I asked my editor to list up everything we have planned for next year, and we ended up with a very long list of things that are coming up.

But he tells me, “We can’t talk about this, this, this or this.” Hmm, I guess we can’t say anything! ≡

But looking at the list, it does look like many of our projects are aimed at a global audience (needless to say, that includes Japan).

The previously announced anime re-adaptation The ONE PIECE is made for a worldwide audience, and is well in progress.

And on March 10 next year, the live-action ONE PIECE Season 2 will finally launch!

We’ll finally get to see Chopper! Every time I see new scenes of him, I find myself saying, “Sooo cuuute!”

Next March, all of you will be saying the same thing. I hope you’ll also enjoy seeing all of the quirky new cast members as well as seeing how perfectly Iñaki and the others embody the Straw Hats.

In fact, filming has already begun on Season 3, which will conclude the Alabasta Saga. Please look forward to it!

As for the new anime film—they haven’t said I’m allowed to say this—I can’t say it’s going particularly well.

But maybe saying this will light a fire under everyone, LOL. But it’s about something that I’m sure all of you will be very interested in, so I hope you’ll wait patiently for it.

Since this is Jump Festa, I should talk about the manga on Jump!

After what you could call a very long flashback, or at least a little glimpse into history that I’m sure has given you a different perspective on Elbaph, we ended things with a bang, and now things are about to get crazy.

Will we get to the island that only King of the Pirates had previously reached?

“The man with the burn scar” will appear! Characters who’d never met before will finally meet! Another pair of characters will come face to face! I think next year will be a year of encounters. The story will be moving at a breakneck speed, but since I’ve aged—much to my chagrin—I’ll take the liberty of maintaining my own health as we continue sailing next year at the fastest ONE PIECE speed.

Festivities ahead! Get ready for a spectacular year!

One Piece Elbaph Arc

For Jump Festa, a trailer was released, showing the events inside Road’s Diorama beginning in Chapter 1127: “Adventure in the Mysterious Kingdom”.

Along with the trailer, we also have a key visual featuring Luffy and the Straw Hats in their Elbaph attire while within the Lego-like world of Road’s Diorama.

One Piece: Elbaph Arc is technically the second season of One Piece, with the first having 1155 episodes since October 20, 1999 and will end on December 28, 2025 for a total of 26 years of broadcast.

Elbaph Arc will be broadcast on April 5, 2026, the same day as the 2025 return of One Piece after its 6-month break for Egghead Part 2.

Chopper Miniseries

Oda has also confirmed that a “Chopper” anime adapting a previously announced social media project from last May focusing on the adorable Straw Hat’s everyday adventures, featuring daily comics, Instagram, youtube and TikTok videos created by fans.

One Piece Live-Action

We also got another trailer for One Piece: Live Action Season 2, featuring Chopper’s introduction to the injured Sanji and Luffy, as well as the sick Nami.

We also see the global dubbing for Chopper, namely his main English voice, Mikaela Hoover (who also plays the motion capture), his Japanese voice from the anime, Ikue Ōtani, and more dub actors, namely Filipino, French, Portugueze (Brazilian), Czech, German, Thai, Malay, Spanish (Mexico), multiple Hindi actors, Chinese (Taiwan), Korean, Spanish (Castillan), Italian

One Piece: Live Action Season 2 will be released on March 10, 2026 and will cover every Arabasta Saga arc except the Arabasta Arc itself, which is set for Season 3.

There Will Be No One Piece Remake Yet

There is no definitive update on the One Piece remake by Studio WIT (Attack on Titan Seasons 1-3) but in this statement, Oda has remarked that it is progressing, meaning they are still in production.

Some illustrations from the remake have been shown, which were treated by fans as a hint that a trailer for the remake was coming but none happened during Jump Festa.

Luffy’s current voice actress, Mayumi Tanaka, has requested that someone else fill the role of Luffy for the remake due to her age (70), which could also indicate that there will be an entirely different voice cast for the WIT remake of The One Piece, which is set to remake all of the East Blue Saga with improved pacing and animation quality.

There Will Be No New One Piece Film

Unfortunately, the update on the film to succeed Film Red (2022) is more negative as progress on its production is not going well, in spite of predictions claiming it will be coming next year.

However, Oda has hinted that the film is about something the community is interested in.

Since the anime will end right when the flashback begins, some fans are hoping the new film will adapt the entire Elbaph and God Valley flashback, as it is nearing 20 chapters in length as of Chapter 1169, the last chapter of 2025.

Given how Film Red revealed Shanks’ World Noble heritage before the manga did, will this be the first ever-canon One Piece film?
