Kaiju No. 8’s Final Volume Release Date Revealed Amidst Final Chapter Release
Kaiju No. 8’s final volume is coming soon. But will this volume have any additional story?
With the release of the final chapter of Kaiju No. 8 on July 18, 2025, it was announced that the Final Volume 16 will be released on September 2025, likely on the 4th like Black Clover Volume 37.
Kaiju No. 8 began on July 3, 2020, thus ending on the 5th anniversary of the manga’s release.
The release of the final chapter has also coincided with the start of Season 2 of the anime.
Kaiju No. 8 has also reached 18 million copies in circulation as of this time.
About Kaiju No. 8
Kaiju No. 8 is a manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto for the Shōnen Jump+ app and website from July 3, 2020 to July 18, 2025.
As of March 2025, the series has reached a total of 15 volumes and has sold over 18 million copies worldwide.
Season 1 was released in 2024 produced by Production I.G. (Haikyuu, Heavenly Delusion) with monster designs by Studio Khara (Evangelion Rebuild movies) and adapted the first 38 chapters of the story.
The story follows Kafka Hibino, a 32 year old man who ingested a parasitic creature and gained the ability to turn into a kaiju, eventually joining the Defense Force that opposes the kaiju.
