Ichigo’s BANKAI REPAIR! What to Expect of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Episode 47!

In the previous Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War episode, Uryu defeats the Balance, Jugram Haschwalth with his Antithesis but Yhwach reverses Orihime’s sacrifice and destroys Ichigo’s True Bankai alongside Renji, Rukia and the rest.

Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Episode 47 is titled, “The End 2”

This episode adapts Chapter 681: “The End” and Chapter 682: “The End Two World”

Given there are only 5 chapters of Bleach left, the remaining 4 episodes will add a lot of anime-original content to fill the gaps.

Ichigo Loses All His Powers

The episode will continue where we left off as Yhwach prepares to absorb all of Ichigo’s powers, his Quincy and Hollow side, Bleaching his soul for the second time.

This sequence will likely be prolonged as Yhwach savors the despair.

Shunsui Kyouraku Makes a Move

We get two previews featuring Head Captain Shunsui Kyouraku and his Lieutenant Nanao Ise.

With the reflective look from this preview, perhaps Shunsui Kyouraku is thinking about his friend, Jushiro Ukitake, who is on the verge of dying.

Again, unlike in the manga, Ukitake does not die a fast death and instead continues to be the last thread of resistance against the Collapse of the Three Worlds.

Will We See The Conclusion of Gerard vs the Gotei 13?

Given where Kyouraku is, it is possible he could participate in the battle against Gerard’s energy golem form but also considering his injuries from the fight against Lille Barro in Episode 37: “Shadows Gone”, he might probably give orders to the survivors in Wahrwelt.

In the manga, Gerard dies to the Auswahlen, a godly act that defies the Miracle’s seeming invincibility and inevitability.

However, in the anime, Yhwach performs one Auswahlen to absorb Jugram Haschwalth’s powers to break Ichigo’s True Bankai.

Yhwach knows Gerard is the last survivor, a similar role played by Yammy Llargo, the supposed Cero Espada,  during the Arrancar Saga and that final round was offscreened, much like the Gerard finale in the manga.

Either Rangiku steps in after two episodes hinting at her ties to the Soul King, meaning someone else, even a Soul King fragment, can beat another one, or it will follow the manga canon where Yhwach kills Gerard.

Does Uryu Meet Ryuken and Isshin Somewhere Else?

We see Uryu back in the upper level where the Gate of the Sun is, which is set for the invasion into the Human World.

We could get the reveal of what Uryu’s original plan in the anime was, since he tells Ichigo it is his blood that is the key

Blood being the origin of a Quincy’s Schrift that Yhwach names could mean Uryu was counting on the Antithesis, which may or may not have been from his mother Kanae Katagiri as well, although he does bring up that this blood is also tied to his grandfather Soken.

A good way to use Uryu here would be to somehow channel the Gate of the Sun to counter some of the Distortions caused by the Collapse of the Three Worlds, especially as Akon intended to open a portal, possibly a Garganta into Hueco Mundo in an effort to improve the balance on the Soul Society side.

Tsukishima Fixes Not Just Ichigo’s Bankai This Time

Chapter 681 would also be where the Fullbringers finally make their move.

Within that chapter, the despairing Ichigo is stabbed by Shukuro Tsukishima with his Fullbring, Book of the End, similar to how Rukia restored Ichigo’s powers after they were absorbed by Kugo Ginjo as part of his and Tsukishima’s plot.

However, with Renji turned into mutilated pieces like the Soul King, Ichigo’s True Bankai will not be the only one restored.

We could also see more interactions from the Fullbring, given how many chapters there are left.

Kyosuke Shijo feels more like an alias that it is no one known in the industry so far or this is his debut as a storyboarder.

Some fans suspect it is Dali Chen but this episode is not quite action-oriented unlike Chen’s previous appearance in Episode 41: “God of Thunder”.

However, we do know Matsui as he worked on Episode 42: “Son of Darkness”, one of the best episodes of the cour alongside Episode 45: “Defend You”.

Based on the title of Chapter 682, this will likely cover Aizen’s fight against Yhwach before Ichigo’s arrival.

There is no information about the poem.
