It’s that time of the week and the new Jujutsu Kaisen chapter spoilers began blowing up on the internet with a shocking revelation that fans believed Gege Akutami would never do! Atleast, it wasn’t a move predicted by hard-core theorists.

In chapter 261, Yuta had copied Kenjaku’s cursed technique in order to put his brain into Gojo’s body and fight Sukuna inside Gojo!

(Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 261)

That’s right! In a flashback (a device Gege would use every time he had to insert something new), Yuta decided to have Rika-chan devour Kenjaku and copy his ability. While fans thought he’d use Kenjaku’s cursed technique to take control of Kenjaku’s body, Yuta decided to take over Gojo’s instead.

Maki objects to this idea, but Hakari is alright with the plan, with one condition: Yuta will only use it when everyone has been wiped out and they don’t have any options.

The reason being is, if Yuta remains in Gojo’s body for more than 5 mins, he might lose Kenjaku’s cursed technique and may have to live in Gojo’s body forever.

However, both Maki and Kusakabe think this idea is inhumane but Yuta quoted Armin from Attack on Titan to say “To rise above monsters (Sukuna), we have to abandon our humanity”. Yuta argues that Gojo was prepared to become a monster himself just to save the others and if Yuta doesn’t do the same, then it would tarnish not only Gojo’s name but his reputation as a teacher.

Some fans accepted this reasoning, while others, especially Gojo fans, were quite disappointed with Gojo not actually coming back as himself or being used as a mere tool. Watch the Lobotomy Kaisen fans go nuts with this chapter!

Whether or not you agree with Gege’s decision to bring back Gojo with Yuta inside him, it actually goes back to the justification for Gojo being the strongest, as Geto questioned. Jujutsu Kaisen continues to surprise fans with every chapter drop and this one is no exception.
