Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Cour 4 Main Trailer Reveals Extended Fights, Teases Ichigo’s True Bankai
About 6 weeks ahead of its premiere, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War releases another short teaser, showcasing more extended fights, including a glimpse into Ichigo’s first round against Yhwach in the finale.
On May 19, 2026, we got the main trailer for Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War’s Cour 4, which features newer scenes.
The whole trailer plays “Number One- Bankai” by Hazel Fernandes
This begins with the confrontation between Ichigo and Yhwach, with new scenes of Orihime proactively protecting Ichigo but most notably, we see another Getsuga Jujisho against Yhwach, similar to the one that Ichigo did against Yhwach before Yhwach chose to reactivate the Almighty in Episode 28: “Kill the King”.
This is likely at the start of the fight, maybe even before Yhwach stands up.
We see more impressive animation as Ichigo dashes towards Yhwach, overcoming the Torrents of the Soul King’s Power.
Later, we see an extended take of Askin Nakk Le Vaar against Yoruichi, eventually ending with Kisuke Urahara activating her “Shunkō: Raijū Senkei: Shunryū Kokubyō Senki”, giving Yoruichi a cat-like personality.
We got a briefer look at Kenpachi joining the battle against Gerard Valkyrie, with scenes out of order, showing Gerard swiping against Toshiro’s ice pillars where Toshiro and Byakuya stood on and ending on breaking out of Toshiro’s ice last.
We also see an even more extended look at Uryu’s fight against Jugram Haschwalth, where he is constantly on his Vollstandig form, firing the flying arrowheads against Haschwalth, even covering the entire rooftop with thousands of them like a nest.
This fight was likely the one that was never shown before we return to Chapter 672: “Son of Darkness”, where Uryu is seen injured against Haschwalth.
We return to Yhwach vs Ichigo, this time to Yhwach standing and declaring that he will show Ichigo true despair, ending with Ichigo asking if Yhwach really knows despair and then concluding the trailer with the iconic word.
Bankai.
Judging from the content shown, they cover Chapter 663: “God of Thunder 3” to Chapter 677: “Horn of Salvation 3”.
Most of these will feature in the first three episodes of the cour, which would cover from Chapter 663: “God of Thunder 3” to around Chapter 674: “Father 2”, with the likely exception to Urahara’s Bankai, as his involvement after Yoruichi’s defeat is yet to be shown so far outside of pre-animated previews in the past.
Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Cour 4 will be the finale of the whole series after its 22-year run in the anime and will begin airing on July 8, 2026.
