Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Cour 4 Slated For Only 10 Episodes?
Bleach’s finale will only have 10 episodes, reducing the potential for new material but also still promising improved pacing for the remaining 25 chapters worth of manga content yet to be adapted.
On July 13, 2026, it was announced that Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Cour 4 will only have 10 episodes.
This was tied to an early leak from syoboi.jp, a fan-edited TV calendar that is not quite accurate but with Sugoi Lite’s confirmation, this might be the case.
This brings the arc’s total number of episodes to 50.
This does tie in with the schedule as it is set to release on July 25th, meaning it will end on September 26th.
With the first three episodes adapting half of the remaining content, that is up to Chapter 675. this shortened number of episodes makes sense.
Fans have been disappointed with this number since they are used to seeing the Bleach TYBW cours with 13 episodes each, with Cour 3 having 14 episodes for 40 episodes total so far.
This leak has been disputed by multiple sources but it has been validated by the likes of Medialink, an official anime distributor in Southeast and East Asia.
The remaining seven episodes will have to expand on around 12 weekly chapters worth of content and since Bleach episodes normally adapt a minimum of 3 chapters, we will still get
Expected titles for Episodes 4 to 10 will include:
- The Princess Dissection (Urahara’s Bankai) or The Perfect Crimson (Gerard Valkyrie vs Kenpachi and Toshiro)
- Horn of Salvation
- The End
- The Two-Sided World End
- The Blade
- The Death and the Strawberry
“The End” was hinted to be Episode 6, which would cover Chapters 679 to 680, showing Ichigo’s defeat and the destruction of his True Bankai.
Episodes 7 to 9 will cover the final battle: from Ichigo’s restored True Bankai thanks to Orihime and Shukuro Tsukishima’s Book of the End to Aizen vs Yhwach and Yhwach’s final defeat.
The final episode, Episode 10 or Episode 50 of the Thousand Year Blood War will finally invoke Chapter 1’s title, “The Death and the Strawberry”.
This might adapt Chapter 685 and 686 since they happen concurrently, alongside Rukia’s wedding from the novel We Do not Always Love You by Makoto Matsubara.
