Tite Kubo’s website reveals more information about how Yamamoto got weaker after the Winter War against Aizen, the existence of a Quincy afterlife and the nature of the original Espada.
In the previous set of Klub Outside Trivia, we learned about why Yamamoto, the Gotei 13 Founder, could not show Squad 0 or why Aizen chose not to fight Unohana, as what Squad 5 actually does.
As there are one to two questions answered per week, this set of Klub Outside Trivia was released from January 20, 2025 to March 10, 2025.
Ichigo’s Post-University Studies?

Q727.
2025.01.20
Ichigo has become a translator ten years later, but did he ever study abroad in order to develop his foreign language skills?
A727
Yes, he studied abroad in the United Kingdom.
Some fans may not know this but one of Ichigo’s favorite historical figures was William Shakespeare, the playwright and
In the Hell Arc, we got confirmation that Ichigo’s day job is being a translator and this often included travelling to other countries, particularly the United Kingdom.
In other words, Ichigo’s career plan was anything related to literature and writing.
Do Eggs Represent the Soul King?

Q729.
2025.01.27
The food that Sōsuke Aizen hates is boiled eggs, but between hard-boiled and soft-boiled eggs, which does he hate more? Or he just couldn’t tolerate hard-boiled eggs?
A729
He hates the texture of hard-boiled eggs.
Sounds like Aizen’s dislike for hard-boiled eggs could represent that hatred for the Soul King or a sense of repressed being.
QUINCY AFTERLIFE FINALLY REVEALED

Q733.
2025.02.03
Did Masaki and Kanae go to the Soul Society? Also, where do Quincies go when they die?
A733
Deceased Quincies go to a different place than Soul Society.
Furthermore, according to Klub Outside No., 946, “the two realms are connected at a place close to Hell, so it’s not that there is absolutely no means to travel between them.”
Earth serves as the lid to Hell according to the light novel, “Can’t Fear Your Own World”, so this means within the Garganta, the Soul Society and the Quincy Afterlife are caught between the World of the Living.
Yhwach is not their exclusive destination.
In fact, there were Quinicies before Yhwach’s earthly reincarnation and it seems to imply that after Yhwach’s death
TRANSCENDENT BEINGS

Q734.
2025.02.03
Aizen, who evolved like a butterfly or a skeleton through the Hōgyoku, stated that he had “transcended both Hollows and Shinigami” and referred to himself as a “transcendent.” He also mentioned to Ichigo that “At one point, you destroyed the boundary between Shinigami and Hollows and became a transcendent”. Does this mean that the form Aizen took after his transformation through the Hōgyoku could be considered a form of Hollowfication.
A734
Since the term “transcendent being” refers to those who have surpassed the boundaries of the souls (tamashi). Therefore, both Ichigo and Aizen are “transcendence beings” but in different forms.
Within the Bleach canon, there are three Transcendant Beings: the Soul King Adnyeus, Ichigo Kurosaki and Sosuke Aizen.
Unlike the first two, Aizen does not have access to Black Spiritual Pressure, the color of Chaos and of the Soul King and instead acquired Transcendance through the Hogyoku.
Instead, his Transcendance is quite different, with the Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Cour 4 confirming that distinction via the Chaos Spiritual Pressure Ichigo was able to access via Mugetsu and eventually his True Bankai, something Aizen still does not have in spite possessing perfect immortality.

In the Bleach light novel, “Can’t Fear Your Own World”, there are two more Transcendant Beings: the fallen Substitute Soul Reaper and Fullbringer, Kugo Ginjo and Hikone Ubuginu, the artificial Hybrid Soul made from fusing Soul Reaper, Quincy, Fullbringer and pieces of the Soul King, with his base coming from Gremmy Thoumeaux’s brain, the Brain of the Soul King.
While Ginjo might be the weakest of the bunch, he still qualifies as someone breaking the boundary of souls, being not only a Fullbringer and Substitute Soul Reaper but also a Hollow as a result of his Bankai manifesting the Hollow side of his Fullbring powers.
First Generation Espada

Q736.
2025.02.10
The “Espada” group underwent several fundamental changes during the events of the story, but were the Espada numbers 1, 4, 8, and 9 really never replaced?
A736
The first generation of the “Espada” consisted of only 7 members. As for the “Espada” who bear the names of the 7 deadly sins, they are the ones who were never replaced.
Kubo originally conceptualized the Espada around the Seven Deadly Sins but decided to avoid being restricted to the concept and number and instead retain those that made sense, such as the aforementioned, and add more elements, connecting them instead as Aspects of Death.
These seven would be the top warriors ruled by the original King of Hueco Mundo, Barragan Louisenbarn but Kubo decided to change them from seven to the “Ten Blades”, hence Espada.
The original Espada so far seem to be No. 0 Yammy Llargo (Rage), No. 1 Coyote Starrk (Loneliness or Sloth), No. 4 Ulquiorra Cifer (Emptiness or Sloth), No. 8 Szayelaporro Granz (Madness or Lust given the name of his Zanpakuto Fornicarás/”To Fornicate”) and No. 9 Aaroniero Arruruerie (Greed).
Starrk could also be Envy since he envies the weak for being able to find companionship and it ties to his loneliness.
This is supported in the light novel, “Spirits are Forever With You” as it was confirmed the fusion of Szayelaporro and his twin brother Ylyfordt Granz was Espada No. 0 (Rage) 250 years before the start of Bleach and under Baraggan’s rule but because Szayelaporro wanted to maintain his scientifc
This also explains why Espadas 3, 5 and 7 were positions previously held by an older generation of Espada before No. 3 Nelliel and Harribel (Sacrifice), Zommari Rureaux (Intoxication), Nnoitra (Despair), who went from No. 8 to No. 5, meaning his Aspect of Death changed from Madness to Despair due to his choice to usurp Nel.
However, in the original manga, Zommari says that Aaroniero is the last surviving member of the first generation Espada.
Interestingly, Kubo’s comment could read in different ways because this implies either that the original 7 are all intact or only the 4 highlighted by the fan and Kubo are the only original ones left.
Baraggan was made an Espada under Aizen but he was the previous commander of the Espada, so leaving 7 out of 9 as original members.
The position of No. 2 (Age) could be left to someone else but so far, no Arrancar held the thematically-appropriate type of power that Baraggan held, so it is possible No. 2 was a Seven Deadly Sin, likely Pride.
If we take Zommari’s comment to heart, he might really be the sole first generation member while subsequent Sins Espadas came later, implying Aaroniero was also loyal to Baraggan at one point.
If we take the light novels as canon, even as they are not written by Kubo, then this makes Aaroniero hundreds of years old as well.
Baraggan was around when Ikomikidomoe was still an indepenednet Adjuchas Hollow, fighting against a much younger Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto and Yamamoto founded the Genji School 2,100 years ago and he appeared as a middle-aged Soul Reaper.
This would make Baraggan above 2,200 years old and the establishment of the Espada is still debatable as Szayelaporro was hundreds of years old, although the events surrounding the 7th and 8th Kenpachis, Kuruyashiki and Soya Azashiro
HOW YAMAMOTO GOT NERFED

Q737.
2025.02.10
The Shinigami’s have reiatsu vents on both wrists and if they are blocked, they will be burned from the inside by their own reiatsu. However, if a Shinigami loses both arms instead of being sealed like Urahara-san did, will they still be at risk of being burned up? Additionally, if they were to become one-armed, like Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, what kind of negative effects related to reiryoku would occur?
A737
If an arm is lost, the cut-off place becomes the new vent for the reiatsu exit, but in return, controlling reiatsu becomes extremely difficult. For this reason, Yhwach criticized Yamamoto for not healing his arm.
The Jail Schrift Explained

Q739.
2025.02.17
I am very happy to see Quilge finally move and talk in the anime! I rewatch it every day and enjoy it! Now, I have a question about Quilge.
Yhwach mentioned that Quilge’s ability “J” can only be broken by a Quincy. On the other hand, does this mean that his prison does not have a full effect on other Quincies? Also, does the restriction imposed on this ability “J” stems from Quilgie’s own personality “about the superiority of the Quincy race”? or from his ideology?
A739
Both are true.
Aizen’s Automatic Healing

Q740.
2025.02.17
During the battle against Yhwach, Aizen sustained significant injuries to his body. I wonder if he received any treatment before being imprisoned again? I’m really worried about his condition.
A740
Aizen’s wounds heal automatically.
Nel Can Absorb Kido and Getsuga Tensho

Q742.
2025.02.24
Could Nell’s Cero Doble absorb long-range non-Cero techniques, like Getsuga Tenshō or Kidō?
A742
Yes, it can.
Vizards Ages

Q743.
2025.02.24
What is the age range of the members of the Visored? (Not in terms of appearance, but their actual age.)
I believe they are all at least over 200 years old, but if there are any official settings, I would appreciate it if you could share them.
Also, it would be great if you could let me know who the youngest and the oldest members of the Visored are.
A743
I haven’t accurately determined their ages yet, but the oldest is Rose, and the youngest is Hiyori.
It seems Kubo has yet to prepare an answer for this and has not outright denied the estimates.
However, it is interesting that out of the Captain members of the Vizards, Rose is the most recent, with Shinji, Kensei and Love being first.
Hiyori being the youngest makes sense given her attitude.
Chizuru, Stay Away

Q744.
2025.02.24
Chizuru doesn’t seem to have given up on Orihime, but is she also aiming for Orihime’s stepsisters, Yuzu and Karin?
A744
She thinks, “Even though they both are Ichigo’s sisters, they are really cute, aren’t they?”
Reiatsu Sensing

Q746.
2025.03.03
Even from a considerable distance, Reiatsu can convey a Shinigami’s movements and sometimes even their emotions to other Shinigami. However, do the Shinigami’s ever find this uncomfortable? Are there any Shinigami who are concerned about this and constantly suppress their reiatsu or use tools to hide it?
A746
Since it’s rare for a Shinigami to be able to sense movements or even read emotions from afar, most Shinigami likely have never been concerned about it.
Starrk’s Envy for Kyouraku and Ukitake’s Bond

Q747.
2025.03.03
I really like Starrk’s battles, and they make me feel heartbroken but what was the intention behind making Starrk fight against Kyōraku and Ukitake? I feel that it was quite cruel to make Starrk, who is afraid of loneliness, face the close relationship between Kyōraku and Ukitake.
A747
That is one of the intentions.
Kubo’s Preference for New Kido and Spells

Q748.
2025.03.10
I can’t help but admire the level of care you put into crafting Kidō incantations—each one truly sounds amazing.
Do you create them yourself? And which Kidō spell is your favorite?
A748
They are all my own creations. I usually prefer the newer spells, so at the moment, my favorite is “Supernal Jail” from Burn the Witch.
