Himawari THE STRONGEST JINCHURIKI! Boruto 9th Anniversary Q&A With Ikemoto
Boruto’s 9th anniversary Q&A reveals that Himawari might end up as the franchise’s strongest Jinchuriki, maybe even reviving Six Paths chakra.

On May 19, 2025, we receive the Q&A for Boruto creator, Mikio Ikemoto, for the 9th anniversary of the Boruto series since its debut on May 23, 2016

Question 1: Tell us why Boruto changed the way he called Sasuke.
Answer:Â After he helped him escape Konoha, Boruto felt that Sasuke was really his master and that he was his pupil. He started to call him “Shishou”/ Master the next day. Sasuke was reluctant at first, but he was indeed Boruto’s master to he gradually accepted it.
In the Boruto manga and anime, Boruto has often referred to Sasuke as “Uncle”, mostly in reference to his seniority but also viewing him as a part of his family.
Now, he fully sees Sasuke, who is now a different person with a different worldview due to Omnipotence, as his master.
It would be nice to see more of their bond via flashbacks if time permits but so far, it is interesting how there is barely any difference, apart from a feeling of distance.
What is holding their bond together is Sarada, rather than the long history they share as master and student.
Question 2: Eida and Daemon have cosmic/space motif accessories on them, why?
Answer:Â I wanted them to stand out from usual Boruto/Naruto characters. And since they are two characters with extraordinary abilities, I thought a cosmic motif would suit their design
This does align with the appearance of the Senrigan, which is in the shape of the crescent moon.
On the back of Daemon’s jacket is the planet Saturn, which is scientifically known as the planet in the Solar System with the best ability of reflect sunlight, in such a way that few stars can outshine it.
Question 3:Â Was the power Daemon felt from Himawari actually Kurama’s ?
Answer:Â Daemon actually felt the future synergy potential of Himawari, who is of Uzumaki and Hyuuga bloodline and Kurama’s chakra.
This is the most interesting question as it led us and other fans thinking about not only the potential Himawari could have but even for Kurama.
This is a new slate for Kurama as it is the first time he actually dies in his thousand-year lifetime.
Perhaps by combining Kurama’s chakra with the Hyuga chakra, Himawari might unlock some form of Six Paths power akin to her mother Hinata temporarily acquiring
Perhaps Himawari might awaken the Tenseigan, since Boruto has received the Jougan instead of the Byakugan.
While the Last Naruto the Movie says the Tenseigan requires an implanted Byakugan from a Hyuga, Himawari is already a Hyuga and now she has 1/9th of the Ten Tails’ chakra or even Kurama’s connection to the other eight Tailed Beasts, which could fulfill half of the requirements to reawaken Kaguya’s chakra.
It is inevitable that we could see Kurama teaching Himawari how to use some form of Tailed Beast Mode but it will be a whole new power, just as Boruto and Sarada have so far awakened unique abilities in the Two Blue Vortex manga alone.
Question 4:Â What is written in the book Jura always reads?
Answer:Â It’s actually Jura’s personal notebook. It contains various information, daily discoveries, things that he is curious about. It’s an important tool for him to keep track of the growing mass of information he learns on a daily basis.
The book seems to store Jura’s memories as he is an empty husk, in a way.
While he has his desire to absorb people, especially Naruto and Himawari, he also wants to be a fully-realized person by
Over time, however, it seems that while he respects knowledge, he sees himself and his kind as superior due to the lack of love.
Question 5:Â During his talk with Amado, Boruto sees a glimpse of the future. Is it related to Koji’s ability “The Ten directions/Prescience” ?
Answer: It’s one of Momoshiki’s personal abilities. It allows him to see bits and fragments of the future. It may seem similar to Koji’s ability in some ways, but unlike “Prescience” it’s not a Shinjutsu and considered inferior in terms of performance.
Being a personal ability of his Byakugan, this means only Momoshiki’s Byakugan is able to see the future.
While Ten Directions helped Boruto train and grow, Momoshiki’s warnings have given Boruto fear because there was no certainty in those visions, only that something bad will happen to Boruto.
That is why even Momoshiki was surprised by Omnipotence.
Question 6:Â Where and how does Himawari live after Part 1?
Answer:Â At her own request, she lives alone in her family’s home. She feels that they will somehow return and wants to protect their home until they return
This shows the distant relationship between Himawari and Kawaki, who is her biological brother via Omnipotence.
Can Himawari recall her old, stronger feelings for her actual brother, Boruto?
Question 7:Â What’s Kawaki’s favorite Tayaki flavor?
Answer: At first he liked the Chocolate Tayaki the best, but it didn’t take long for him to settle down with Bean paste flavor
An intriguing point but does Kawaki still care about taiyaki or is he full-on depressed and unable to enjoy life as an Otsutsuki hybrid?
Question 8:Â How do Shinju’s get personalities? For example Ryu’s personality is nothing like Shinki.
Answer:Â Everyone has two faces. The one they show to the public and the one you keep for yourself. Something very useful to the real society. Since Shinju’s had just been born not too long ago, they don’t have this notion. They are thus primitive and true to their instincts. Even if they give a different vibe from their original selves, this may be a hint to the originals true personality.
Ryu seems to be a means to further characterize Shinki, who is often cool, calculated, distant and aloof but otherwise caring for his comrades.
While ruthless and arrogant, Ryu is a lot warmer and outgoing, being openly respectful to his seniors and wanting to appease them.
Perhaps this is the side of Ryu that wants to appease Gaara in effect.
Matsuri expresses Moegi’s suppressed feelings for Konohamaru, which is pretty obvious.
Mamushi, as Bug’s copy, might be expressing his frustration with being led around and finally having the power to take it out in Eida in particular.
Hidari seems to play into Sasuke’s existential journey as an empty slate defined by those who manipulate him (Itachi, Orochimaru, Obito, and now it seems, Jura).
Perhaps Hidari can enable Sasuke to recover his memories of Boruto and Sarada within his own terms but he is barely present after his first defeat.
Then again, there is a chance for him to pop up more as a prominent presence, maybe even betray Jura the same way he betrayed Orochimaru?
Jura is the most interesting since he is simply the reincarnation of the Ten-Tails as he can finally be a free being without the need to be a seed for other people’s plots.
