Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 38’s first sneak peek shows Kawaki visiting the Daikokuten dimension, where he stored Naruto and Hinata at the end of the original Boruto series.
The couple were sealed in Chapter 77: “Time Drawing Near”, released on January 19, 2023, meaning it has been more than 3 years or 1364 days.
This is the exact duration of the timeskip as well.
Kawaki sealed them to prevent Naruto from stopping him from interfering with his plan to kill Boruto as he had become a full Otsutsuki like himself while ensuring he and Hinata are safe from all harm.
In this chapter, sitting on one of the Daikokuten cubes floating in the dimension, Kawaki apologizes for sealing the two of them here.
