Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Reveals Its Final Battle Trailer

On October 16, 2026, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War reveals its last trailer for the climax of the entire series

Prior to this release, the Bleach website revealed the synopsis for Episode 49: “The Blade”

“Transcending dimensions, Yhwach appears simultaneously in the Soul Society, the Human World, and Hueco Mundo, declaring that he will return the world to nothingness and create a new world without the “fear of life” or the “fear of death.”

However, Ichigo, rising once more from the depths of despair, alongside his allies, including the Soul Reapers and Arrancars, have not yet given up on this world.

In each of the Three Realms, the final blood battle against Yhwach begins!”

This episode will adapt the remainder of Chapter 684: “The Blade”, meaning there are only 10 pages to adapt and majority of the episode will be anime-original.

The first half of the trailer shows all the key events from Yhwach’s point of view: from his battle with Yamamoto 1000 years ago to his fight with Blood Chains Ichigo.

The new content shows the Three Worlds warping due to Yhwach’s Black Domain as he intends to fuse all Three Worlds back into one Primordial Chaos.

We see what happens on each side, with Hueco Mundo’s Forest of Menos turning into black trees reaching for the sky, with the canopy being green from Hueco Mundo’s moon.

Here, we see Tier Harribel and Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in their Resurreccion forms fighting a horde of eyeball monsters formed from the Soul King’s Black Spiritual Pressure.

The World of the Living has a yellow glow from its canopy and we see the same happen with Soi-Fon, a heavily injured normal form Bankai Toshiro Hitsugaya, Byakuya Kuchiki using his Bankai, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi against the horde and Shunsui Kyoraku leaping from one of the black tree structures.

In the Soul Society, it is all red and we only see Ichigo and Uryu within the Seiretei, fighting against Yhwach.

We see the Soul Society Yhwach grow into a giant blob monster with eyes.

After Uryu is shown shooting regular Heilig Pfeil, we find Ichigo charging towards Yhwach with his Bankai, which could be animated by

The much clearer composition suggests that Episode 49 will be helmed by the series director himself, Tomohisa Taguchi.

With the dates (October 19 and 26th) and the words, “Ichigo Kurosaki’s Final Battle”, the trailer ends with Yhwach’s words, saying that this is the time for the end.
