Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War’s Final Episodes DELAYED to October
In an unexpected twist, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War will postpone broadcast of its final two episodes.
After the airing of the latest Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Episode 48: “The End Two World”, Studio Pierrot and the official Bleach animation Twitter account have announced that the final two episodes of the Thousand Year Blood War anime adaptation have been postponed for a month.
Episode 49: “The Blade” will be released on October 19, 2026.
The final episode, Episode 50: “The Death and the Strawberry” will be released on October 26, 2026.
The studio cited the need to deliver the best possible quality for the final episodes of Bleach.
In the meantime, until the broadcast of Episode 49, TV Tokyo Network will deliver the *BLEACH Thousand-Year Blood War Arc Climax Selection*, likely a replay of Cour 4’s episodes.
However, some fans have noted that this is due to some production issues, as evident with the disappointing reception of the latest episode, particularly with the fight between Aizen and Yhwach.
In addition, the “BLEACH The Blood Warfare Part Ⅳ” Blu-ray & DVD Complete Production Limited Edition and “BLEACH THE BLOOD WARFARE Original Soundtrack Ⅲ,” will also be postponed.
Previously, the Blu-ray was set for February 10, 2027 (Wednesday) while the original soundtrack on December 16, 2026 (Wednesday).
Now, both will be released on March 24, 2027 (Wednesday).
This is to give room for the Blu-ray to be polished, particularly for the last two episodes.
On his Klub Outside website, Tite Kubo also makes a comment on this break:
“So, the anime will be taking a one-month break after this! All I can do is wish everyone on the anime production team the best! Take care of your backs and your eyes, everyone, and keep it up~!!

I forgot to mention! The Aizen art I drew is fan service too! We’ve gotta have an Aizen illustration at least once, right?”.
As per tradition, Kubo drew new art of Sosuke Aizen since he draws characters who have died or got taken out of action during the episode being released.
We sincerely apologize to all those who have been eagerly awaiting the broadcast for the delay.
