Kagurabachi Chapter 130 is titled, “I’m Fine!”
This chapter has 15 pages just like the recent string of chapters
Either this is another leftover from before the June hiatus or we are really going to get used to this.
March 29, 61 hours after the start of the bellowing.
Japan reasserts its agreement with the Mikaboshi: to hand over Princess Chiaki Soga and the sacred Datenseki stone, and they would bring all the items on Irishima beach on April 1 at noon, which is in three days.
We see Akemura being bound by heavy chains since he would obviously interfere and was quite difficult to stop, as shown in Chapter 124: “Powerless”.
Giyu Soga, the clan head, sees the chained Akemura and notes that they will use the forbidden spell, Anesthesia, on Chiaki to “paralyze the ego” and it was forbidden in antiquity because it produced blindly obedient soldiers.
This is done so that Chiaki will not experience pain or awareness when the Mikaboshi King or his clan perform any barbaric acts on her.
Chiaki hopes her brother and mother do not do anything crazy as she has made her choice to protect everyone.
But she has one regret.
The Sorcery Bureau leader asks Izaru about the forge but the latter notes they have lost contact with the reinforcements they sent and since Kunishige’s group were processing the Datenseki, the stone was likely interfering with communications.
The Sorcery Bureau leader worries about the loss of the Datenseki as it means they lost their shot at peace even if they do bring half of the promise in the form of Chiaki.
Izaru notes that the Bureau’s top priority is public safety but they have not heard news of an explosion even though the Bureau should be able to detect one, meaning the Masumi might have completed their mission even if the Bureau could not reach them.
Just in time, the Masumi arrive, who report that the furnace has been extinguished and no civilians were injured, only that the smelters responsible sustained burns.
Izaru wonders if the Masumi did really stop them and asks for the Datenseki
As the Soga Clan bring out water to cast the Anesthesia spell, Chiaki feels relieved over Kunishige’s safety and the stopping of his reckless act.
Suddenly, the ritual is interrupted by the arrival of Kunishige and Shiba, the latter teleporting them to the Soga Clan in spite of Shiba’s condition.
Izaru and the other Sorcery Bureau are shocked that not only did the Masumi fail but even watched the smelting be finished.
The lanky Masumi says that it was the safest option available as they were already too late to stop the smelting anyway and their top priority was to prevent civilian casualties.
The shorter Masumi goes gremlin mode, upset that Shiba wasted the Masumi’s healing by forcing himself to teleport to the Soga.
She recalls the cut given by the rogue sword customer from Kunishige’s past in Chapter 127: “Smelting, Part 2”.
Knowing about Kunishige’s heartbreaking past, Chiaki swore to be strong.
She expresses all her sentiments, the lies she fed herself to stay strong.
Then, she throws away her sandals and runs towards Kunishige, giving him a tight hug.
Tearing up, Chiaki says that she misses Kunishige, who apologizes for keeping her waiting.
Back at the burning ruins of Urita’s forge, the sushi chef notes that the Datenseki is ready to be made into crazy katana.
March 29th, 6:30 pm
From the bottom of a ravaged furnace, the Datenseki tamahagane was born.
