New Fairy Tail Series Will Run For Two Months
Hiro Mashima makes his full return to Fairy Tail as he writes a summer-themed spinoff that will run for at least two months.
On July 28, 2026, the first chapter of the new Fairy Tail spinoff, “Fairy Tail Re:Fantasia” has been released for Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine Issue #35, with original author Hiro Mashima in charge of the art and writing.
This series will go on for 9 chapters, meaning it will end by September 23, 2026 or two months.
Note that Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest is still ongoing and likely in its final arc.
Fairy Tail is currently celebrating the manga’s 20th anniversary and this series was first announced during the anniversary event on April 7.
Although the expectation was that the series will only be around for two issues, it has expanded to nine and previously, it was set for August 5th but instead, it is moved a week ahead to July 29th, likely to make room for such a change.
To celebrate the series’ arrival, we get a surprise tribute from Hunter x Hunter author Yoshihiro Togashi as he draws the protagonist Natsu Dragneel in his artstyle.
