On June 25, 2026, with the impending return of Hunter x Hunter on June 29, we get a preview of Volume 39 and a major sales milestone.

With the last update being from July 4, 2022, Hunter x Hunter has jumped from 84 million sales to 100 million, being the most recent manga to tie for the 16th spot alongside My Hero Academia, Astro Boy, Baki the Grappler, Hajime no Ippo, The Kindaichi Case Files and Touch.

Alongside Yu Yu Hakusho, Togashi’s first serialized manga, Togashi has grossed over 150 million copies of his own manga, numbers comparable to contemporaries such as Hirohiko Araki with Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure selling 120 million copies and newcomers such as Gege Akutami of Jujutsu Kaisen, which also reached 150 million copies, albeit within 7 year since its inception.

With Bleach’s return coming this year, this makes Hunter x Hunter Shueisha’s 5th best-selling ongoing manga, with One Piece (600 million), Bleach (130 million), Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and Kingdom (120 million) ahead of it

In honor of this milestone, the series will be holding 3 Special Projects:

1. Special Acrylic Lottery with Volume 39
2. Free-to-Read Chapters in Jump+ App during July
3. New Merchandise in Jump Shop
