The God Valley Incident enters its climax as we see Rocks HUMILIATE Shanks’ father and Imu takes on the three confirmed Strongest Characters in One Piece.
In the previous One Piece chapter, we witnessed Garp’s demonic aura farming against three Emperors and how Rayleigh saved Shakky from Sommers.
One Piece Chapter 1162 is titled, “God Valley Battle Royale”
This is the final part of the Yamoto cover story, Volume 44 of the Oni Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage, where Yamato returns to the Flower Capital and reunites with the others.
The chapter shows Rocks saving his wife Eris and son Teach.
Eris tells Rocks that they will meet in Lulusia.
I am a bit mixed on this.
It was a cool detail that Imu only targeted Lulusia because it was near Mary Geoise, rather than it having a recent revolt inspired by the Revolutionary Army or Sabo hiding there.
If Imu targeted the island because it harbored Buccaneers or the Davy Clan, that would lessen the chilling implications of the opening act of the Egghead Arc.
Meanwhile, Big Mom obtains the Azure Dragon Fruit, intending to give it to Katakuri but Kaido ambushes her, steals the fruit, and eats it immediately.
This is where Kaido and Linlin’s ties were cut off permanently before Wano.
And Big Mom did not acquire the Devil Fruits for Kaido but to build her child army.
We lost a future where Mochi Man was Dragon Man.
Rocks defeats Garling in just a single chapter, proving that younger Garling is much weaker than his current, older self or that he is a bum and fraud.
Imu possesses Saturn in his spider form, while the remaining Davy Clan are transformed into demons, which is what Imu would do 38 years later on Elbaph, turning the Giants Imu wanted to use or erase into demons in his control.
In the final scene, Whitebeard and Kaido (in dragon form) join Rocks to confront Imu-sama.
