Hunter x Hunter is heading towards a terrifying climax. Does this set of chapters spell the beginning of the end for the Phantom Troupe or Kurapika or the entire Succession War Arc?
On October 6, 2025, rather than an official release, we instead get an update from Hunter x Hunter author, Yoshihiro Togashi, confirming that he has finished work on Chapter 420, the last chapter for the upcoming 2025 batch, saying that he has finished work on the background and will now start writing the dialogue.
Noticeably, Togashi may have censored the page he is working on, which indicates completion.
However, one key detail is that it is a panel containing an aura image, signifying the release of a Nen ability.

October might be out of the question unless Weekly Shonen Jump makes an announcement but more than likely, we will see the manga back this November 2025.
