Is Boruto’s Purple Lightning able to deal any damage to the final boss of the series?
In the previous Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter, Jura manages to cancel Boruto’s most powerful technique, Rasengan: Uzuhiko with the same method as creating Tailed Beast Balls.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 23 shows us its first sneak peek with Boruto and Jura continuing their fight.
Jura grabs Boruto’s right wrist but Boruto counters with Purple Lightning, which is cast with just one hand sign similar to Sasuke.
While the attack is shown not to have any significant effect, Jura is shown to have a reaction to it.
Does the Purple Lightning have any effect, given Wood Style’s connection to Earth Style, which is weak to Lightning Style?
Purple Lightning is a technique invented by Sixth Hokage Kakashi Hatake as a replacement for the Lightning Blade, which he needed his left Sharingan to use properly and it seems to be a more flexible, more powerful substitute and Boruto was shown to be able to use it ever since he first copied the technique in the pre-timeskip, albeit via the Scientific Ninja Tool, the Shinobi Gauntlet.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 23 will be officially released on June 20, 2025.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 24 will be released on July 19, 2025 and will be the last chapter of the upcoming Volume 6.
