ODA REVEALS THE BIGGEST SECRET IN ONE PIECE! ROCKS D. XEBEC AND THE WAY TO BECOME A GOD! One Piece Chapter 1154 Full Spoilers!

The Lurking Legend has been revealed: Rocks D. Xebec, the father of Blackbeard! But Xebec’s introduction might have revealed quite possibly the biggest secret in One Piece: the reason why Imu and Rocks are godlike beings beyond Yonko level.

ABD x ONE PIECE © 1997 by Eiichiro Oda/SHUEISHA Inc.

In the previous One Piece chapter, we learn about how Harald became a pacifist king and the tragic birth of his son Loki.

One Piece Chapter 1154 is titled, “Can’t Even Die”

This chapter has 17 pages.

We continue the Yamato cover story with Volume 38 of the Oni Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage as O-Cho and Kiku takes Yamato, Ulti and Page One to the grave of a hero from West Blue that was raised in Ringo.

63 years ago: The Rejected Cornerstone

The chapter begins with a summary of the Big Mom Incident, where a young Charlotte Linlin went through her first hunger pang attack, going after the semla that is eaten for fasting before the Winter Solstice Festival.

A festival celebrating the death and rebirth of the Sun was the setting for a terrible misfortune.

It is interesting that Loki was born during the Winter Solstice, the point when a Sun God dies and is reborn.

As the Winter Solstice falls between December 21st and 22nd, this ties to Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Savior in Christianity.

In a way, Loki’s declaration of being the Sun God, Elbaph’s savior, has ties to Giant religious fervor, including his own.

However, due to his eyes, he was cast aside.

A stone that the builders (Estrid/Elbaph) rejected has become the cornerstone (Sun God) from Psalms 118:22 and reechoed by Jesus himself, which ties to some recent parallels between the scapegoat Loki and the Christian savior narrative.

Ever since the Big Mom incident, many disasters fell upon Elbaph.

As soon as the Winter Solstice festival is over, a snowstorm comes, which prevents the crops from being harvested and Giants were also kept from fishing or hunting, resulting in a famine and food shortage.

These disasters are quite correlated to Big Mom’s Soru Soru no Mi abilities.

She is able to produce elements (fire for Prometheus and Storms for Zeus).

And she eats so much food that she leaves others hungry.

Having broken through the door of the castle, Baby Loki was successful in his climb back up from the roots of Treasure Tree Adam in the Underworld all the way up to Aurust Castle, seeking for his mother’s love.

While Loki’s demon eyes showed tender love, a smile a mother should love, his mother Estrid awakens, her beauty replaced by something much uglier.

Almost like this inner ugliness, expressed most venomously, is the reason why Loki bears such ugly eyes.

Imagine being a newborn with no idea about anything, only the instinct for his mother’s warmth.

Then to be coldly rejected once again.

As Estrid accuses Loki of cursing the nation of Elbaph, Baby Loki is taken away by the smaller Giant soldiers.

Alongside the Giants stealing from other villages to survive, they also became so fearful that they even resorted to attacking Ida and Hajrudin, given that Hajrudin is Loki’s older brother, on top of the illegitimate relationship Harald had with them.

Once again, scapegoatism is at play and it only results in more suffering without social responsibility.

They were saved thankfully by the arrival of King Harald, punching one of the Giants who tried to harm Hajrudin.

While Loki would say Hajrudin was privileged and let us face it, compared to a baby thrown from birth, he was, at the same time, Hajrudin also faced hardship, being persecuted for a “curse” brought about by Big Mom, in the middle of a superstitious kingdom.

This could also be why he refuses to see his brother Loki as anything but a curse upon Elbaph, because his own life was ruined by these circumstances that were treated by the Giants, who were based on real-life Norse mythology, as movements of fate.

Harald was already informed of the famine at the same time as the birth of his son Loki, so he brought in relief aid from the outside world, ships full of food.

Harald says that while humans eat less than Giants, many countries were willing to send help to the Giants.

Harald hopes that one day, Elbaph too will repay human kindness.

The people cheer on, replacing misplaced anger with gratitude to their king.

Estrid died before Harald returned, which could be from seeing Loki climb back up perhaps.

Or the strain of pregnancy or possibly her declining health, the latter being a likely reason for Loki’s funky eyes.

Harald mourns the loss of his wife but does greet his new son, Loki but his eyes are wrapped, with the soldiers saying he had some eye disease, perhaps as a way to prevent Loki’s other parent from judging him.

This is why Loki’s eyes have always been wrapped, just like how Charlotte Pudding kept hiding her third eye with her bangs yet this is more extreme.

Loki was basically forced to be blind from birth without removing his eyes.

Can Loki even visualize the world like others can?

In spite of Harald’s love, it was clear that the rejection by his mother and nation forever warped him in darkness.

“At a few months old, Loki had given up on love.”

What a painful, painful narration.

It also did to help that Harald was too busy to raise Loki as he had to focus on building roads for Elbaph and end the infighting within his own country.

This led to Loki growing up with Estrid’ younger brother, who abused him.

By not paying attention to his sons due to his kingly duties and the need to progress Elbaph, Harald was unable to fill the void in his family.

Perhaps this was because no one told Harald about anything about Estrid or her superstition, all for Loki’s safety but this would not stop any of the events that resulted from not loving an unwanted child.

After all, everyone blamed the curse of Linlin and the many other disasters on Loki’s birth since many Giants also shared Estrid’s superstition.

Furthermore, in the Underworld, Ida opened up a bar by the coastline, which prevents the Underworld Beasts from naring them, which was actually the bar we saw when Shanks and Colon met up in Chapter 1076.

Is Ida still around then?

56 Years Ago: Galley-La and Pluton

56 years ago, Loki was 7 years old, still an infant.

Harald visited Jarul’s house, where they discussed conflicts between the Giants and the World Government.

Harald mentions an incident during the Levely, where a murder took place.

Harald originally wanted to ask a king friend to help him sneak in as a soldier, as apparently Elbaph was never invited or wanted in the Levely, obviously due to the initial reputation of the Giants as a fearsome army of barbarians.

However, his request fell on deaf ears. Harald could never directly be involved in the World government-sanctioned international assembly of kings.

It seems that if not for the murder, Harald might have been caught and arrested instead.

This murder will be relevant shortly.

Jarul, however, says that being arrested would make Harald lucky as he recalls the story of the Gale-Ra (Great Hammer Warriors in Japanese) that have been captured by the World Government.

Harald assumed they were a myth but they were real.

Jarul speculates that the World Government was responsible since they “sank” the Ancient Kingdom centuries ago, though Jarul only calls the Kingdom a “great enemy”.

Jarul thinks that the reason Harald’s ideals did not work out was not because of the man himself but because

Harald suggests this could be because of great animosity from the outside world.

You can see the pattern here for a while now but the majority of the One Piece world is made up of humans and the World Government has often discriminated against not only Fish Men and Merfolk but the other races (Minks, Giants and so on).

Just like how the Galactic Empire under Palpatine in Star Wars was quite discriminatory towards non-humans.

Jarul brings up a rumor of an army of a hundred giants that have been frozen.

While Jarul talked about the Gale-Ra, in the background, we see some of their silhouettes, and at least two of them are clearly the frozen giants that Nami and Chopper saw in Punk Hazard.

We covered our theory on how the Punk Hazard Giants were frozen and that there could be two distinct hie Hie no Mi users who will be crucial to the next few arcs: one who froze the Gale-Ra Giants and the other 800 years ago who might have frozen Joy Boy’s remains or at least his or someone else’s hat.

If you notice, Gale-Ra sounds just like the Galley-La Company from Water 7, so there is a clear connection between the freezing of Punk Hazard Giants and the search for Pluton.

We know now from the end of the Wano Country Arc that Pluton, the massive battleship, is buried beneath Wano, which is shaped like a bowl filled with water, with the intent to hide the mystery Ancient Weapon until the right time came.

We then see Loki grow up under his abusive uncle, who might as well have been miserable and living in poverty (since they eat “garbage” or rather he does not feed Loki anything good) after the death of his sister or for being a bum.

Note that Loki still lived in the Sun World like the rest of the Giants.

We see that Loki matured quite fast even when it was merely him going from infant to child, as shown with the horns lengthening.

48 Years Ago: A Lonely Existence

48 years ago, Elbaph became more united, with the roads enabling villages to connect and thus a stronger national identity was forged.

You can see why the Elders also had more sway, as Giants listen to traditional leadership more than their own kings.

Anyway, while the country was united, Loki decided to throw that away.

When his father was away on yet another voyage, he sent forth the Underworld Beasts to rampage the village.

Hajrudin stops him and Loki continues to berate him, refusing to acknowledge him as a Prince.

When Hajrudin saw his father off, the other Giants insist on him being illegitimate, so Hajrudin was also discriminated against like Loki was.

Both brothers were unable to share the same pain because of their different positions.

Loki was a spoiled brat no one could stop due to his sheer strength but he was unloved.

Hajrudin had friends in spite of his lower status.

In seeing one of the children he endangered being embraced by his mother, Loki stopped his fun.

So he jumped from the “Sun World” to the “Underworld” by himself.

But Loki crashed heavily to the ground, then he took out his blindfold.

Okay it seems like he can actually see but he is forced to be blindfolded for long periods.

Now all alone, Loki cries, saying  that he cannot even die.

This sounds exactly like Kaido’s dilemma.

He is unable to die but this is from a different depression, one over the inability to be loved.

In the background, a mountain top was sliced up.

The ones arriving are the Rocks Pirates, who are wondering where they are and why no one came to “greet” them.

Both Shiki and Whitebeard are surprised to see a Giant child but this one is even bigger than regular adult Giants.

We then see the mysterious man with the Rocks Pirates, and he is none other than Rocks D. Xebec.

He asks a crying Loki to say “yes” to his question: if this is the land of Elbaph and if Harald is here.

Sheesh, every invader coming to Elbaph seems to know Harald personally.

And that is because they met 8 year ago on the Levely and during which time, Xebec was the one who murdered someone and not just anyone.

An Admiral from Marine Headquarters.

How Rocks D. Xebec Holds the Secret To Everything

The one who cut down the mountain must have been Rocks, not Newgate with his naginata Murakumogiri combined with his Gura Gura no Mi powers.

This one simple action and Rocks’ handsign, a “V”, might have completed one of the oldest puzzles in One Piece and could possibly explain everything going on in the Void Century.

Buckle up.

It appears that Rocks might not be the user of the Yami Yami no Mi, although that possibility has yet to be erased, but at least in this chapter, he is instead the user of the Ope Ope no Mi.

The Ope Ope no Mi is one of the most valuable and coveted Devil Fruits in One Piece

Doflamingo stated that with the Ope Ope no Mi, combined with the Mary Geoise National Treasure, one can attain even greater power than immortality.

Since Imu was shown with a spellbook, we formed a theory that Imu had received the Perennial Youth Surgery and that enabled access to the National Treasure.

Xebec died 38 years ago in the God Valley Incident.

Many things happened here, including Roger finding an infant Shanks, the lost son of Figarland Garling, Commander of God’s Knights who was also present there.

The Ope Ope no Mi first entered present One Piece history 13 years ago when Corazon/Donquixote Rosinante, together with a 13 year old Trafalgar D. Water Law, found the legendary fruit.

This means that the fruit was either missing for 25 years or someone else ate it after Rocks, if we follow the timeline correctly.

But this does line up to a theory we will discuss very soon.

However, there is a counter to this idea and it is that we do not see the bubble that forms around the usage of the Ope Ope no Mi.

Additionally, the mountain could just be cut like normal with some sort of blade.

Maybe even just the sheer force of Xebec’s Haki.

We might not have a concrete answer yet but the idea could work.

There is an alternate possibility, which we will explain soon.

But yes, we finally have a face to the name of the Lurking Legend.

The Mystery of Blackbeard’s Lineage Solved!

Rocks D. Xebec is finally here!

The future captain of the Rocks Pirates yet here with his future crewmates, a 26-year old Edward Newgate, a 30-year old Stussy, and Golden Lion Shiki.

He has spiked hair with black and white locks, wears earrings, seems to be bare-chested even in the winter weather of the Underworld and has a scar or tattoo on the left side of his face.

This is also the character who resembles a Dr. Stone character design the most.

He had spiked hair with black and white locks, wore earrings and also had a scar (or tattoo, not sure yet) on the left side of his face.

He has a clear resemblance to Blackbeard, having the same eyes, nose, and mouth, and that is because the introduction box reveals that he is Blackbeard’s father.

Now everything adds up.

As a child, Marshall D. Teach was seen crying before the moon and unable to sleep.

A half-moon, a smile, the D.

This is such a contrast.

The adult Teach usually smiled but as a child, he was miserable, facing the smiling half-moon.

The Will of D but that of Rocks D. Xebec, meaning there is a civil war among the D. Clan, a clash of D wills.

He cried because of the loss of his father as a child.

And he could not sleep, perhaps because there was someone else living within his body, perhaps the will of his own father.

Blackbeard joined the Whitebeard Pirates, likely out of revenge.

Perhaps Whitebeard was responsible or aided Roger and Garp in killing Xebec.

What could have provoked this man to change ways? That would be an interesting story, to see how the ruthless but kind pirate became the Strongest Man in the World who wanted only a family of his own.

While Whitebeard was aware of Portgas D. Ace’s lineage as Gol D. Roger’s son, he was kept in the dark (pun intended) because Teach never told Whitebeard anything.

It seems clear now that Marshall D. Teach was targeting the people responsible for his father’s downfall.

He joined the Whitebeard Pirates for the practical reason that a Yonko crew, especially that of the Strongest Man closest to the One Piece, would give him the best chance to acquire the Yami Yami no Mi.

If he knew of the Devil Fruit, it could only be because it belonged to Rocks D. Xebec himself.

It also so happened that Ace was on board.

Along with his lineage, Teach believed heavily in fate, which is why he moves the way he does, confident that things will work out his way.

While he originally wanted to get Luffy’s bounty, he did plan to take out Ace as his ticket to becoming a Warlord.

This would allow him access to Impel Down, gathering the most ruthless and volatile criminals just like his own father did to form his Armada.

The successor crew of the Rocks Pirates.

Finally, he would complete his revenge by taking Edward Newgate’s Gura Gura no Mi and using its “light” power as a way to claim the Yonko position.

While Teach’s genius mind enabled all of this maneuvering, he would not have reached this point without one thing: a unique body that surpassed reason.

He was basically created like a god.

However, some fans, whether seriously or not, have noticed that he also kind of resembled Buggy, especially with the let side of his face being marked.

Only Blackbeard was acknowledged as Xebec’s son but the possibility could still exist.

Especially when people hold the assumption that maybe Rocks also consumed the Bara Bara no Mi that could divide his own body into pieces he can move.

What if he awakened the Bara Bara no Mi and was able to split up objects, levitating and controlling them akin to how Shiki, his crewmate, could make things fly with his Fuwa Fuwa no Mi?

That pose did look like a flying slash or Dismantle like Jujutsu Kaisen’s main villain, Ryomen Sukuna.

The Secret To One Piece Godhood

Simply put, the Ope Ope no Mi enables Godhood in two methods:

First by combining the Perennial Youth Surgery with the power of the Mary Geoise National Treasure, making someone into a demon who is able to give contracts and evolve living beings into demons.

Second and this has been theorized for a while, by giving someone two or more hearts.

Many have suggested that Blackbeard was able to acquire the Gura Gura no Mi by taking Whitebeard’s heart into his own body.

Rocks D. Xebec is said to have a special lineage but what if it is specifically unique to Rocks himself through an Ope Ope no Mi surgery.

Perhaps the surgery done by the Ope Ope no Mi on Xebec’s body, either done by himself or someone else, could allow him to bypass the limits of a single Devil Fruit.

Perhaps this was his way of acquiring the world, maybe securing room for Imu’s immortal heart.

Keep in mind also that Xebec was able to kill an Admiral, one of the most powerful beings in One Piece.

Something like that is unprecedented and no one has been able to perform such a feat.

Just like how his son Teach would later kill Newgate, the strongest Yonko.

It seems this murder was what started Xebec’s journey to infamy.

And indeed this proves that Xebec might be on the level of a God in the One Piece universe.

This, like 1138 and 1149, is one of the most iconic chapters in One Piece and we are still in the setup phase towards yet another legendary flashback.

Like how Oden’s flashback became the Roger flashback, the Loki flashback would become the Rocks flashback, at least until the pirates leave after their brief visit.
