SHANKS’ TWIN THEORY CONFIRMED ON ELBAPH! One Piece Chapter 1134 Full Spoilers!!
After 6 years, we finally confirmed the existence of Shanks’ twin brother!
In the previous One Piece chapter, Robin and Saul have their heartfelt reunion, as Saul mimicked the time he first met Robin and Robin, after all the time alone and wanting to die, shows Saul her resolve to keep living happily.
Thanks to Pewpiece for the summary.
One Piece Chapter 1134 is titled, “Owl Library”
This chapter has 19 pages, comprised of two color pages and 17 black and white pages for the content.
The colored spread is dominantly in blue and features the Straw Hat crew on top of a flying Robot Franky doing the Astro Boy pose.
Robot Franky looks the same as his post-timeskip form but has a meal body and wings
Everyone on top of Robot Franky is holding up water guns.
Luffy is ready to leap into action, while Nami is holding onto one of his legs.
Oda wrote “We are eternal” on Franky’s left shoulder.
This is clearly a tribute to Kazuki Yao, the voice actor for Franky, who announced his retirement from voice acting in December 2024 due to his health condition.
The chapter begins where it ended off with Luffy thanking Saul for helping Robin and as Luffy sits down, he extends his hand to greet Saul, whom he calls “Saul-ossan”.
Do note that Luffy calls Robin his underling here (something he normally would not say) as he speaks in the manner of the Yakuza.
The Straw Hats are surprised as they have no idea where Luffy learned this.
My guess? He really spent way too much time with Boss Hyogoro in the Udon prison in Wano.
Before Luffy could finish his long greeting, Robin cuts Luffy off and introduces him to Saul.
Saul is quite familiar with Luffy and is glad that Robin met some good friends.
Robin is proud of having friends who will protect someone like her. Everyone, except the same “not/rarely crying” trio of Luffy, Zoro, and Jinbe, are moved to tears.
A Second Vegapunk (Stella)?
Lilith then introduces herself to Saul as Vegapunk and requests for Jinbe to take out a box filled with machinery from the “sval” ship. Gerd assists Ginbe and they bring out a box containing a sealed capsule with a “Vega” sticker on it.
Lilith reveals that this capsule contains “her”, not a Satellite but a complete clone of Stella.
This is the Vegapunk that visited Elbaph 20 years ago and is the only means by which Vegapunk would travel around the world without the World Government being alarmed.
This Vegapunk clone helping rebuild the Ohara Library is what will make Vegapunk’s knowledge of the Void Century, from the worldwide broadcast he left behind, so essential to the Final Saga.
Perhaps through this clone, will we uncover the full story of the Void Century beyond the limited knowledge Vegapunk had/revealed?
Since they are now in “mini-Ohara”, as you could say, and with the untouched knowledge of Elbaph, maybe Vegapunk can gain a more complete picture of the truth.
It seems that before the Egghead Incident, they were able to put it in a nutrient medium but then lacked the machinery to bring it.
Lilith intends to stay on Elbaph to build a proper laboratory to revive the original Vegapunk through the clone’s body and with the clone, make a cure for Kuma’s conditions, restoring his free will.
Yet another reunion to look forward to as Bonney is excited to hear that her father will be saved.
Although One Piece is riddled with fakeout deaths, this one might not be that severe as Vegapunk is “still” alive, the act of killing the original haunted Kizaru and is still something hard to forgive, both for himself and others, and even with Lilith being a Vegapunk Satellite, she might need help
This references back to Chapter 1127: , where Lilith assures everyone that Vegapunk is still alive, only that it is not just through her
This also brings added conflicts for the plot since the Gorosei and the World Government will do anything to silence any trace of Ohara and prevent the Warland Kingdom from interfering with Imu’s cleansing of the world.
Harald’s Era of Peace: A Land without a King
While the Giants give the Straw Hat crew a tour around the school, Robin, Saul, Chopper, Lilith, and Bonney head up to the Owl Library
The school building near the Owl Library looks just like the Owl Library itself and we see the Straw Hats meet up with some Giant kids playing near “Warrior’s Spring” before going to the school tour.
Usopp asks the kids if they plan to sail one day to have some adventures and fight ruffians out in the open sea but then someone responds, saying that this is not the trend anymore.
Zoro realized that the voice came from an adult, not one of the kids.
The Giant kid warns them that they are on top of their teacher named Ripley.
We realize the whole time that Luffy, Zoro, and Usopp are on top of a Giant woman.
Ripley is a beautiful Giant with a line tattoo in her face, and she is the Biology teacher in “Walrus Academy”.
Luffy is on top of Ripley’s chest just like how he first stumbled upon the giant Mermaid Princess Shirahoshi on Fishman Island, and, umm, good thing Sanji is not here.
Ripley tells them not to worry about stepping on her body and informs them that the era of Elbaph Warriors wreaking havoc across the world ended 100 years ago, exactly the time that Dorry and Brogy began their duel.
Ripley explains that giant kids in “Walrus Academy” are more polite and peaceful compared to other kids in Elbaph
Loki presented Elbaph as a “Warland” and most of the Giant Warriors are pirates who sail on adventures, which means the majority of people stick to the old ways as a norm but they refrain from involvement with the outside world like Wano before.
Saul, Ripley and those associated with the school movement are considered outliers for being pacifists.
Then, there are extremists like Loki and fanboys like Road who want a return to those troublesome times where humans were looked down upon as nothing but an inferior weak race.
As it turns out, the school movement exists because of and in keeping with the will of the late King Harald.
Harald was a pacifist who wanted Elbaph to trade with the outside world instead of doing war.
This pitted Harald against the Elders of the various Elbaph villages, which appeared to have independent tribal or war leadership by elders like Jorul and Jarul of the Giant Warrior Pirates
Ever since Harald’s death at the hands of Loki, Elbaph had no king.
Ripley says she’s from the last generation of warriors, so she would have love to see Luffy’s white form (Gear 5), as she and everyone around the world would have seen the image on the news and his bounty poster.
According to Elbaph mythology, there was once a warrior who looked like that.
She does not specify Nika or Joyboy but we already have an idea.
We will need another 100 chapters for Luffy to get the idea but this is still good for now.
Owl Library Fun
Before Robin’s group enters the Owl Library, Saul explains to Robin how Ohara’s books were recovered and placed here.
Concerned for the knowledge the Ohara scholars risked their lives to protect, Saul had requested Hajrudin and his New Giant Warrior Pirates to get the books and he and the pirates returned to Ohara once more.
Saul cried upon seeing the tiny books, rejoicing at how they were saved in spite of the Buster Call’s destructiveness.
Back to the present. Saul warns Robin to be careful with the book she is handling
Upon entering the library, the book Robin is holding grows bigger than her.
We finally see “Owl Library” in a BEAUTIFUL double page spread, filled with massive books stored in large bookcases with massive tree branches hanging around them.
On one branch, we see a giant owl asleep.
Saul delights in the surprised look of his guests and explains that the Owl Library is where books grow large upon entry.
Seeing all the books her people died to protect preserved here moved Robin to tears
Who is Mosa
We cut to the “Underworld” level, where Loki is speaking to a person named “Mosa”, who is not shown but is speaking in a timid, polite way.
Loki and Mosa are not actually talking in person but through a Den Den Mushi and apparently talking to Mosa is how Loki passes the time out of boredom.
They have been talking for so long that Loki considers Mosa a friend and call them “Mosako” (“ko” is a suffix given out of respect for the person).
Loki asks Mosa about the “horrifying experience” they have been traumatized and for once, we see a more sympathetic side to Loki as he is concerned about Mosa’s well-being.
Loki even said that if he had been there, he would have killed “all of them” for Mosa.
Mosa remarks that even though Loki is using scary words, he actually sounds kind-hearted and this makes Loki annoyed.
Already, we are seeing early glimpses of Loki not being a terrible person but you might wonder what is this event that Loki is so upset about.
“All of them?” Humans? The giants under his father Harald?
Looking forward to that Loki/Mosa backstory.
We cut back to “Western Village” of Elbaph that the crew arrived in last chapter. Dorry, Brogy and the other giants are drinking while they wait for Straw Hats to return.
A Tale of Two Shanks?
We end the chapter on an ominous spread showing a castle within the Sun Level of Elbaph.
We have yet to touch the Celestial Level, where the royals and other nobility would live, which would have been a nice chance to see a parallel or commentary of the Giants’ class system in juxtaposition to the World Government’s Celestial Dragons.
A flash of black lightning pops up and we see a magic circle form inside the throne room, akin to the one used by Saturn to summon himself and, much later, the other four Elders to Egghead Island in Chapter 1094: “Five Elders, Warrior God of Science and Defense, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn”
However, it is noticeably lacking a number as Saturn’s circle has the number “5”, which also implies the rest also have numbers and Garling’s own circle will have a number 5.
Does this mean that Garling or the Holy Knights use this transport method outside the Gorosei? What type of magic or unique power is involved?
Judging from the black lightning, this might be yet another unknown form of Haki.
From this circle emerged two hooded figures, one of which…
Looks exactly like Shanks.
Or is it?
In Chapter 907: “The Empty Throne”, we see a hooded figure who appears to be Shanks asking for an audience with the Five Elders to talk about a “certain pirate”.
It is fitting that this Shanks fellow appeared in an empty throne room in this chapter, just like his apparent introduction to the story during the Levely Arc.
Many have been surprised but then again, Shanks is known as a diplomatic figure whose power held weight.
The problem is that power is what the World Government wanted to contain with their Three Powers system, preventing any hostile contact between the two powers of the World Government (the pirate Warlords of the Sea and the loyal Marine Admirals) with the Four Emperors.
So it is out of the ordinary for one of the four threats to the regime to enter without raising alarms.
One important detail, however, is that we only see the right side of his face.
In a 2019 interview with the Japanese Youtuber Fischer, someone asked if there are two different Shanks but Oda’s reply was censored (so were his other replies to some questions). However, Oda did mention that he forgets to draw scars from time to time.
Oda planned it all along. pic.twitter.com/S5Td4IUW7B

The second figure appears to be a woman who has bandages covering her mouth and her hair covering her right eye.
Editor’s note: “We have invaders!!”
So, two Vegapunks, two “revivals” (Saul and Stella), and now two Shanks? Truly a chapter of two’s.
There will be a BREAK next week due to the Japanese Christmas Holiday week (all of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine will be on break).
BUT One Piece Chapter 1135 might be released earlier than usual.
So if the chapter would be released on January 6, 2024, it might be moved to a day ahead and therefore the leaks would arrive before the New Year.
