The ANTITHESIS to Joy Boy! Oda Reveals IMU’S DEVIL FRUIT! One Piece Chapter 1150 Full Spoilers!

One Piece reveals the true nature of Imu’s Devil Fruit: the Anti-Sun God who brings absolute freedom to the body at grave cost!

ABD x ONE PIECE © 1997 by Eiichiro Oda/SHUEISHA Inc.

In the previous One Piece chapter, Imu possesses Gunko, who has a link to Brook’s past life before becoming a pirate.

One Piece Chapter 1150 is titled, “Domi Reversi”

This chapter has 15 pages.

The title in Japanese for “dark reversal control” and is a reference to the Reversi board game, where two players reverse each other’s pieces by putting their colored disk to form a line and capture their opponent’s pieces.

We now fulfill the whole point of the Yamato cover story with Volume 34 of the Oni Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage as Yamato returns Yasuie’s sword to the Enma Shrine in Hakumai.

We also see Page One and Ulti with Yamato in front of the shrine.

To clarify, this chapter does not feature Luffy’s group in the Underworld with Loki or any clues to Brook’s past and the events of Mary Geoise.

Everything is focused on Imu’s reversal of Elbaph.

The Devil Lands

The chapter begins as the adult Giants head off to see their children.

Imu stops them from coming close by forming a summoning circle that brings out two cannons, firing shots at the Giants.

Suddenly, Imu transforms into a more devilish form as Gunko’s body now has two large leathery black wings, resembling that of a bat, and a tail with an arrow-shaped tip.

This tail was seen in Chapter 1086 as it was the one that hit Sabo and Cobra when they tried to escape Mary Geoise.

Lastly, Imu also holds a large trident much larger than Gunko’s body.

Imu orders Sommers to lead the line of children.

It seems that while possessing Gunko’s body, either Imu is unable to use the Aro Aro no Mi or Imu is simply delegating a simpler task to Sommers, who controls the children’s lives with his Iba Iba no Mi.

Usopp is shocked to see Sommers being alive.

Imu then talks to Killingham, asking him if his MMAs are that easy to defeat.

Killingham replies, saying that he left a couple of “Nightmare Holes” open that will continually generate nightmares from the people of Elbaph.

As creatures of dreams, the MMAs have no concept within and so can be revived when Killingham gives the signal.

The Giants charge towards Imu.

Brogy grabs hold of Imu but suddenly, Imu summons a floating spellbook from her right hand.

The spellbook brings out multiple weapons: a dagger, a pistol and a shotgun.

After stabbing Brogy’s hand with the dagger, Imu holds the shotgun to shoot down a bullet strong enough to sever Brogy’s hand, thus freeing Imu.

Forming another magic circle, Imu uses “Devil’s Contract” to give Brogy the “power of evil”, making the Giant twist upside down and sink down akin to quicksand.

This results in Brogy transforming into a Giant five to six times bigger than the average Giant while growing massive devil wings similar to Imu’s, four large fangs and two black horns.

Essentially, Imu seems to have brought out the Ancient Giant in these regular Giants, as we theorized in our early spoilers article.

If you notice, the magic circle resembles Abyss, which confirms that Abyss is the Devil’s Contract that allows the Five Elders and God’s Knights to gain their demonic immortality at some cost to their body.

It seems that Brogy has some self-control as it expresses some inner desire of his, enjoying the new sensation, as if he can do anything but doing so by cutting down his own comrades.

The Opposite of Gear 5

Through Brogy’s transformation, we see that Imu’s Devil powers are a dark mirror of Sun God Nika’s.

When Luffy first transforms with Gear 5, he says that he feels like he can do anything

When Brogy is transformed by Imu’s Domi Reversi, he says something similar.

Imu’s core principle is also different.

In a special Q&A in 2024, Oda revealed that the celestial robes (white smoke) surrounding Luffy are a portal to Nika’s limitless imagination.

We do not see Imu have any black smokes representing an Awakening but the Five Elders and Killingham are awakened Mythical Zoans, in spite of their abnormal natures.

Instead, Imu’s Hybrid Devil form, via Possession of Gunko’s body, only allows Imu to release the spellbook as a portal to objects from reality.

The goggles, baseball and bat Luffy use come from fiction, from his imagination but so far, Imu has summoned real weapons but they pack quite a punch as the shotgun fired one round strong enough to cut a giant’s hand from its wrist.

This could be from the bullets being imbued with Haki but perhaps Imu’s weapons are stronger than normal.

We should also consider that Imu has a main body in Mary Geoise keeping them from being involved in outside affairs, possibly sealing them.

So there are multiple vessels, such as Gunko, and Imu can control the bodies of the Contracted from afar, as shown with their burning of Jaygarcia Saturn in Chapter 1125: “What Death Means”

Imu now uses Domi Reversi, an expanded version of Devil’s Contract, to make dorry and some of the Giant Warrior Pirates into Devil Giants

Does Domi Reversi require the spellbook or is the spellbook only used to bring out weapons from real life, meaning a limited supply, in contrast to the limitless supply of imaginary things from Nika’s domain.

The Devil Giants also have wings, fangs, are around the size of Oars the Ancient Giant and hold huge tridents, with Dorry’s trident having a sword in the center prong.

In the final double page of the chapter, we see the whole army of Devil Giants and MMAs come together.

Imu is impressed by the power of Elbaph and desires not to destroy this nation but to reshape and “reverse” everyone to their side.

Now Imu intends to unleash this army upon Elbaph, starting by killing Jarul.

The Giants ask their elder to leave but Jarul refuses, saying that is no way to talk to a proud warrior.

A 14 Year Old Payoff

The giants turning into enemies for the Straw Hats has been subtly foreshadowed more than once.

In Chapter 633, titled, “Friend or Foe” released in 2011 during the events of Fishman Island, we see Dorry and Brogy on the cover.

We see another hint in Chapter 1124: “Close Friend” when Luffy parties with the Giant Warrior Pirates, where he says “I don’t care even if you guys end up as my enemies, you know it’s gonna be me in the end” when it comes to reaching the One Piece between him and Shanks.

But now Luffy is about to face arguably the single most powerful entity in the entire One Piece, who is quite possibly the Devil herself, Imu.

There WILL BE NO BREAK NEXT WEEK.

One Piece Chapter 1151 will be released on June 8, 2025.
