In the previous One Piece chapter, Imu assumes his new Depths form and Loki, Luffy and Hajrudin launch their own Sovereignty combo attack.
One Piece Chapter 1192 is titled, “We Will Never Allow That!!!”

Usopp is Luffy’s Hype Man
The chapter begins where we left off as Imu is blown away by Luffy, Loki and Hajrudin’s combo attack, the Gokoku Sovereignty.
Although he was coughing up a bit, Imu was far from done.
Loki jumps on Imu, smacking him hard with Ragnir.
Luffy joins in and is about to attack but Imu summons more sentient Omen flames targeting Luffy.
This does not stop Luffy as he unleashes a new attack: Gomu Gomu no Dawn Kraken Gatling, which sets off all the Omen flames while still landing blows on Imu himself.
However, this move was too slow as Imu reveals two swords.
Bohu and Tohu.
We don’t see what Tohu does solo but Bohu, the Blade of Nothingness, was responsible for weakening Luffy during their first encounter.
Tohu is its counterpart and twin, the Sword of Chaos.
After all, in the Abrahamic creation story, Tohu wa-Bohu combined form the world before creation: without form and void.
WHICH Imu actually references to create the SHIELD OF NOTHINGNESS
A flaming shield that causes any attacks to break apart on contact and since Luffy is all about these hands, he feels his hands shatter as well.
Imu really pulled a Susano’o to defend himself against the literal Toon Force.
Bro cannot keep getting away with this.
But that moment proves why Gear 5 is incomplete.
Luffy was still not even touching the realm of the Gods if he cannot go through the power of CHAOS itself.
Imu then cuts down Luffy with both swords, which penetrate through his Conqueror’s Haki with ease and send him back down to the ground.
Gaban panics, telling Hajrudin to get Luffy out of Elbaph.
That’s when GOD USOPP pulls up the most badass speech he has ever delivered.
He lists down all the times the Giants helped Luffy and the Straw Hats: how Dorry and Brogy opened the way out of Little Garden, how Oimo and Kashii helped the Straw Hats save Robin and Hajrudin’s crew becoming Usopp’s underlings.
There’s no way they would ever run away from people they owe their lives to, that’s not how they work.
Now Usopp is calling out Gaban for thinking Luffy was never serious and the Giants for putting too much stock in their prophecies.
He puts his foot down, saying that he will never forgive anyone who tries to take away Luffy’s freedom, even if it comes from their allies.
What Luffy is doing is not for the sake of some prophecy or a dead man’s dream
No, he is here because he is the Pirate King, the freest person in the world, and no one can take that way, especially the world itself as embodied by Imu.
When the world puts Luffy down and insists he has to play a role: a god or a devil, liberator or destroyer, Luffy refuses, standing his ground to reach the throne of the Pirate King, the king who defies the world
With his signature grin, Luffy instantly sticks himself to Loki’s giant hammer! Loki smiles, winds up, and swings that massive hammer with his god-like giant strength, launching Luffy flying straight towards Imu like a literal railgun, completely engulfed in Elbaph’s pure lightning!
Luffy flies through the air and strikes with a brand-new, god-like attack: “GOMU GOMU NO DAWN THOR BULLET!”
The impact is so devastating that IMU’S EYES TURN COMPLETELY WHITE! And we can literally see Imu’s stomach stretching and expanding as if it were made of raw rubber! Luffy has bypassed the Shield of Emptiness and rubberized the King of the World! Absolute cinema!
And we can see right here why the world and its history was WRONG every time about Devil Fruits and especially about Nika.
Joy Boy’s prophecy was a shackle to the full potential of Nika, and this chapter proves thatthat the Gear system HAS NO END!
