LOKI’S GOAL, Hugo’s Backstory! Blue Lock Chapter 343 Spoilers!

Loki and Hugo are soulmates in their ambition to win the World Cup multiple times. But will Loki’s goal cement his place and push Blue Lock out of the spotlight?

BLUE LOCK © 2018 by Kaneshiro Muneyuki and Nomura Yuusuke/KODANSHA.

In the previous Blue Lock chapter, Barou scores the goal, cementing Karasu’s place as the new King of Blue Lock.

Blue Lock Chapter 343 is titled, “”Vivian Hugo”.

This chapter has 20 pages.

Editor’s note: “On the day his fate changes. This man does not yet know that a dramatic encounter awaits him..”

We begin in a flashback two years ago at the France U-18 match with Hugo explaining the plan to break through the defensive line at a specific speed (32km/hr) to deliver a pass at a speed of 8.3 m/s or faster.

Gabin finds the explanation too hard to follow and considers Hugo to be a soccer freak.

Yep he is French Isagi.

Hugo is looking for the right conditions to win the World Cup 4 times.

The right environment, the right coach, the right organization, and the right relationships that will let him thrive as the No. 2 of that team.

From there, he will need a world-class striker.

Hugo remarks that Noel Noa, the current strongest, is nearly 30 years by this point in the flashback (he is currently 32), so with his current means, Hugo believes he can only win the World Cup once or twice.

So he intends to find a new No. 1.

After another match and telling his teammates to be exactly half a second faster, Hugo gets into a heated discussion with Gabriel, who grabs him by the collar and tells him not to treat them like tools, refusing to abide by Hugo’s desired image.

Hugo bluntly says that he overestimated Gabriel, that he is only a mediocre striker, ranked 130th worldwide.

As Gabriel is about to punch Hugo in the face, Loki appears and casually tells the coach to change the people’s roles.

Loki introduces himself, bluntly speaking like Hugo as he declares his intention to win the World Cup multiple times, with the other French players shocked at the audacity.

Hugo is stunned.

He found his perfect match.

Someone who is arrogant, irrational and yet also brave.

Loki and Hugo converse, with Loki explaining that talent trumps everything, that only those with talent would understand such a fate.

Hugo simply remarks that he only wants to win the World Cup 4 times, which amazes Loki.

It felt like destiny did bring similar souls together.

We return to the present day, with Hugo taking the ball, backed up by two wings: Leyden and Camus.

Hugo zigzags between Karasu, Reo and Kunigami using Loophole Dribble.

Loki appears from behind Hugo, which reveals to Kunigami their plan: by crowding the midfield, the duo plan to make a back-space strike.

Loki blitzes and Aiku runs to stop him, intending to risk taking a foul.

Loki makes a 37 km/h run, with a slice-spin trajectory at 8.5 meters per second

As the narrator says:

“Vivian Hugo knows that his talent and Julian Loki’s talent are both a rarity that occurs only once every 50 years. He is fully aware of it.”

As Loki closes in, Gagamaru sees the intent: pinpoint pass to a spot that can’t be reached, linked perfectly to a terminal point.

And it leads to Loki shooting the goal.

Japan 2 – 3 France.

France is back in the lead.

Editor’s note: ‘This is the peak, Julian Loki! The talent of “aptitude” is what rules this world…!!’

Blue Lock Chapter 344 is titled, “Coal Pipe” or “Order Form”, depending on the reading.
