Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 240 Spoilers:

The chapter is titled “Baka Survivor-Survive!!” and begins with a short flashback.

It focuses on sorcerers discussing making a surprise attack on Kenjaku before the fight between Sukuna and Gojo ends.

Angel shares her concern regarding Kenjaku ambusing the sorcerers if Gojo loses.

Hakari responds by saying the Kenjaku wouldn’t attack, as he knows that sorcerers would already have their hands full dealing with Sukuna.

Angels adds that even if that does not happen, sorcerers can barely win against Sukuna, and it will be problematic to face after fighting Sukuna.

Kusakabe says that they can catch Kenjaku off guard with Maki and get rid of him. He also adds that it would be nonsense to split their strength before fighting Sukuna.

Angel then recommends sending Takaba against Kenjaku.

Hakari and Kusakabe doubt Angel’s recommendation. Angel then says, “There might be a bad influence on Takabas’s Cursed technique, so please don’t say this to anyone, even Takaba. His cursed technique is…”

Just then, the chapter cuts back to Kunjaku and Takaba’s battle. Kenjaku attacks Takaba using a swarm of centipede curses.

As the fight continues, Kenjaku realizes that his cursed technique was completely rejected.

Takaba then, using his cursed technique, makes Kenjaku wear an American flag bandana. He then says, “You can’t win against me.”

Kenjaku tries to deduce Takaba’s cursed technique and thinks that his cured technique is about creating phenomenons where he forcefully materializes his imagination.

Thus, he realizes that his thousands of years of knowledge will be useless against him. Although Kenjaku did not expect such a player to exist, he believes that there must be a weak point in his cursed technique.

The two begin talking about his joke, and at the end of the conversation, Takaba says that Kenjaku’s face says, “Make me laugh.”

Takaba then claims that he will make him laugh with his next one-shot gag.

“Don’t marry me! I don’t want you as my Wi-Fi!!”

But Kenjaku does not laugh.

The two yet again indulge in discussing Takba’s latest joke.

Kenjaku states the unlike Haranashi Sans gag of “If I pull out my spine, I can’t stay standing!” Takaba’s gag lacked the lead and couldn’t convey anything.

This affects Takaba, as he says, “It hurts me when someone who understands logically denies me.

Takaba then experiences a flashback of someone saying that its not fun doing comedy with him.

Kenjaku then asks him to be conscious of the audience when he makes jokes.

Then, at last, Kenjaku lands a solid hit on Takaba!

Kenjaku states that he has figured out the condition for Takaba’s cursed technique, which is the user’s confidence and certainty.

Takaba is sent flying and is enraged at Kenjaku. He calls him an amateur who hasn’t been on stage. And he states that it doesn’t matter whether Kenjaku finds it funny or not, as long as other people find it funny.

He then challenges Kenjaku to the “You lose if you laugh” challenge and makes a funny face.

Kenjaku counters his by making his own funny face along the way, revealing his brain.

Takaba could not hold his laughter and lost the challenge. Right after, Kenjaku lands yet another solid hit on Takaba.

Takaba began losing his cool and thinks Kenjaku is funnier than him.

He tries to encourage himself by saying it’s alright; he is also funny. Takaba starts losing as he sees Hazenoki’s dead body.

Kenjaku menacingly looks down on Takaba and asks, “ What’s wrong? Laugh. You’re a comedian, aren’t you?”

Takaba thinks that this isn’t laughable and loses his confidence. He starts pondering why he became a comedian in the first place.

The chapter ends here with the editor’s comment, “Violence that breaks the rule!!! What will you do in this cold atmosphere, comedian?!”

There will be no break next week.
