In the previous One Punch Man chapter, Saitama managed to stop Empty Void’s Dimension Slash and Blast sees a glimpse of his own family from the eyes of Empty Void.

Chapter 210 is titled, “Recurring”

This chapter has 15 pages.

The cover shows three Ninja from the Village, one of which is Empty Void’s wife Luna (codename: Maya).

The other one with the metallic arm, Stain, turned into a Mysterious Being (a Monster or “avatar” as Void calls them) and it is Void that finishes him off.

Stain has the patterns similar to the being he follows, God, and apparently Void will contribute to God’s plan.

This shows that Stain has probably been turned into a monster through God’s Mysterious Cubes.

Blast watches from atop one of the shipping containers in the dock and fires an energy ball that rips out the creature’s arm while Void finishes off his pupil by cutting off his head.

Blast appears, telling Void that he found them through the Cube he held and, remarking on Void’s strength, asks the other person to identify himself.

Void asks the same and notices that Blast is using a different “jutsu”, which makes the man wary over him.

Blast identifies himself as a hero that operates independently but Void is rightfully a suspicious individual, thinking he is snooping around the village.

This was 15 years before the Hero Association was formed, meaning this flashback is from 18 years ago and 2 years before the birth of Blast’s son, Blue.

This is also around the time Blast found Tatsumaki and Fubuki.

This also means that the concept of superpowers was quite foreign to this time, with the Ninja Village being a secret society and Mysterious Beings likely being less common.

What about the Heroes that have gained powers, outside perhaps of espers like Tatsumaki and Fubuki?

Are we about to see the connection between the Cubes, Mysterious Beings, and the abilities of Heroes?

Void mourns the loss of his disciple and asks Blast about God.

After Blast tells him about what he knows about God, Void joins Blast in his quest for the cubes

While camping out, Void secretly assigns his sister, Selenian Luna, to the mission of stalking Blast, seeing that he is being supported by Sitch, who would eventually become one of the leaders of the Hero Association.

Sitch used to be part of the Agoni Foundation and is apparently a genius scientist, which gives Void an opportunity to not only study Blast’s unique abilities but also ways to bring in Sitch’s financial resources and technology for the Village to use.

As a result, Luna becomes “Maya”, the woman that Blast would eventually marry and have his son with.

Void was not sure if his sister had truly fallen for Blast but she died in a battle against a Mysterious Being.

However, Void noticed the timing as Luna was getting close to figuring out who Blast’s scientist was.

Although Void considered Luna’s death to be due to her weakness, deep down, Void mourned the loss of his sister and blames Void for taking her away.

Inside a temple, while the pair investigated, Void was struck by one of the Cubes that emerged from a chapter and gets transported into another dimension, leaving Blast behind.

Void witnesses his two disciples, his sister Luna and Stain, returning unscathed and standing on top of the massive floating cube.

The two each hold a Cube, which might be how Empty Void became a Mysterious Being.

The chapter ends with a panel of Saitama holding Empty Void’s actual katana and treating it like a cardboard box cutter.

Although we learn about Void’s past, nothing new was actually revealed, so perhaps there is more to it in the coming chapters.
