If you think you’re the biggest Attack on Titan fan out there, then think again! A certain biology lecturer at the University of Philippines channeled his inner AOT fan enough to write a full academic paper titled “Beyond the Walls: Examining the Biology of the Titans in Shingeki No Kyojin” and present it in an official seminar!

Don’t believe me? Check it out for yourself!

I’m not joking; this is a legitimate seminar that anyone from around the world can attend. Click on this Zoom link if you want attend this seminar, which takes place on December 5, 2023.

However, Attack on Titan is NOT THE ONLY anime-related topic this university conducts seminars on. Another lecturer will talk about “The Whimsical Wildlife Of Studio Ghibli” on Nov 28, 2023.

So it seems the University of Philippines doesn’t shy away from using fictional stories to grab the interest of students while talking about Biology.

Attack on Titan: Final Season Part 3 Part 2 released on November 4, 2023.

Crunchyroll describes the overall plot of Attack on Titan anime as follows:

“Known in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin, many years ago, the last remnants of humanity were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside their fortress.

Only the heroic members of the Scouting Legion dared to stray beyond the safety of the walls – but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive.

Those within the city clung to the illusion of a peaceful existence until the day that dream was shattered, and their slim chance at survival was reduced to one horrifying choice: kill – or be devoured!”
