Fans speculate it to be Levi Ackerman, quoting Isayama’s interview where he stated that he had a story for Levi in mind.

The official Twitter handle of Attack on Titan‘s artbook “Shingeki Fly“, which is set to feature a new manga chapter “Bad Boy” has revealed on Oct 12, 2023, that the new chapter will be about a certain character’s childhood story.

Although no specific information about the character has been disclosed, a lot of fans on social media believe it could be Levi Ackerman, as author Hajime Isayama has once stated in an interview that he has a backstory for Levi Ackerman in mind for a spin-off story but was uncertain as to whether or not he would be able to write this spin-off.

“Regarding Levi, I actually have something in my mind, but at the same time, I don’t know if I will be able to write that or not. I have imagined what the story of Levi would be in my mind, but at the same time, whether I am able to output it, that’s a whole other story because writing a manga is a really difficult task for me..”

But the conundrum amongst fans is that Levi’s story was already revealed in an OVA called No Regrets: Part 1, although partially. So they assess whether a need for another Levi-centric story even exists or not.

Nevertheless, fans will find out by the end of October 2023 as it is revealed that the story draft for this new Attack on Titan manga will be out by then!

On Oct 3, we got information that a new artbook for Attack on Titan will feature an 18-page manga written by Hajime Isayama. The artbook is scheduled to release April 30, 2024.

Earlier this year, the Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special 1, got premiered in Japan and was streamed on Crunchyroll.

Attack on Titan: Final Season Part 3 Part 2 will be released on November 4, 2023.

Crunchyroll describes the Attack on Titan anime series as follows:

“Known in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin, many years ago, the last remnants of humanity were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside their fortress. Only the heroic members of the Scouting Legion dared to stray beyond the safety of the walls – but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive.

Those within the city clung to the illusion of a peaceful existence until the day that dream was shattered, and their slim chance at survival was reduced to one horrifying choice: kill – or be devoured!”
