Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run Anime is FINALLY HAPPENING
As predicted, Jojo Day would confirm the release of Part 7 of the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure anime.
During Jojo Day on April 12, 2025, it was announced that the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure anime would continue the story with Part 7: Steel Ball Run.
This was already hinted as early as December 12, 2024, confirming fans’ hope of the series’ long-awaited adaptation.
The key visual was revealed in a short video detailing the long in-universe history of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.
There are also character designs released for the main characters: Johnny and Gyro Zepelli.
Steel Ball Run covers the first story in the new universe, this time set in the United States of America in 1890, decades after the Civil War as racing jockeys from all over the world flock for the Steel Ball Run cross-country horse race from San Diego to New York City.
This new universe’s Jojo is Johnny Joestar, a former jockey turned paraplegic who joins the race due to Gyro Zeppeli, a participant from Naples, Italy, and his Steel Balls that held the key to restoring his ability to walk.
