Exciting Black Clover News Rouses Fans As 10th Anniversary Looms
Black Clover’s 10th anniversary will be one of the biggest celebrations for the fandom for more reasons than we realize.
On July 3, 2025, it was revealed that this week’s Weekly Shonen Jump issue 32/25 has announced big things for Black Clover as it celebrates its 10th anniversary since its release on February 16, 2015.
As expected by many fans, the announcement involves the release of more chapters but also more surprises, including the return of the anime that had ended in March 30, 2021.
New Season Incoming
The new season for Black Clover has been officially confirmed, as has been speculated since the announcement of this issue’s news.
There are no specific details, other than this announcement being confirmation that production has started, although it is more than likely that the Black Clover anime staff have gone beyond pre-production and early production stages, potentially with a few episodes about to be made.
There is no set date announced or of any staff changes.
Tatsuya Yoshihara was the director for the first 153 episodes and acted as chief director for the remainder of the anime’s run but has currently been tied to the production of the Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc movie and potentially of Chainsaw Man’s continuation in Season 2.
Pierrot will reveal new information about Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War during Anime Expo on July 4 and Jump Victory Carnival on July 13 but could potentially include information on their other properties, such as Black Clover.
With the developments within the studio thanks to their production of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, fans are expecting a rise in animation quality that will come with the sequel.
Episode 170 ended on the first part of Chapter 272, skipping Chapter 271 entirely, which is the start of Arc 10: the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc, which ends on Chapter 331, a chapter that leads into Black Clover’s biggest twist.
Will this mean that Black Clover will follow Bleach’s lead to divide production into cours or seasons and thus the new season will end on this iconic chapter?
Summer is the Best Time for Black Clover Fans
For Giga Summer 2025, it has been announced that Black Clover will be releasing 3 chapters at once on August 12, 2025.
These chapters will continue from the shocking turn of events from the two Spring chapters released on May 2, 2025.
Not only does Lucius Zogratis acquire all the magic of the Clover Kingdom from the grimoires of dead wizards but has also put Asta out of commission for a while, with Yuno fusing Anti-Magic with his own Spirit Magic.
Black Clover will also have the cover and lead color page as well for the Summer issue.
There is no announcement regarding the latest Volume 37 but as there have been ten chapters yet to be collected, we might get word on that very soon.
