Will Black Clover Season 2 Be The Finale?
Black Clover Season 2 could be the final season as reports surface about the content of each split cour.
On September 5, 2026, it was announced Black Clover will have a 2-cour season, which will total 26 episodes.
With new information as of September 23, this will be a split cour.
Cour 1 is titled, “Spade Kingdom Raid Arc” and will consist of 13 episodes, set for October 3, 2026.
Meanwhile, Cour 2 is titled, “Final Arc”, although this is a provisional title and will be released in 2027.
So far, Chapter 271: “Union”, the next 14 pages of Chapter 272: “Dark Prison Hunting Ground” up to Chapter 392: “Beyond Not Giving Up” have yet to be adapted for a total of 122 chapters remaining, with both arcs split perfectly in half.
The remainder of the Spade Kingdom Raid is from Chapter 271 to Chapter 331: “And the Time Starts to Move.” for a total of 61 chapters.
The Final Arc is from Chapter 332: “Final Declaration” to Chapter 392 for a total of 61 chapters.
In the previous season, each episode usually adapts 2-3 chapters per episode, meaning there are 48 to 72 chapters.
Given the action-heavy content of the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc, however, this will be a tighter adaptation that will not afford any filler content.
Episode 1 of Season 2 will likely adapt Chapter 271 to Chapter 275: “Hellfire Incarnate”, as Mereoleona is shown flying up and we see the start of the Spade Kingdom Raid, with the battles already set up.
If so, with each cour of 13 episodes adapting 61 chapters, this could mean that 4 chapters per episode will be the minimum while the norm would be 5 chapters or more, again depending on the amount of action
