Eiichiro Oda Reveals What’s In Store For One Piece Manga In 2024
Oda confirms that the Egghead arc will conclude soon and the Straw Hats will head to another island where a heated battle is about to erupt!
After the BIG NEWS of One Piece getting a remake anime by Studio WIT, Jump Festa 2024 unveiled a special message by series creator Eiichiro Oda, talking about what he’s got cookin’ for the One Piece manga for 2024.
Oda confirms that the Egghead arc will conclude in 2024 and the Straw Hats will head towards another island. The author wonders whether Luffy and the others will leave Egghead safely, because if you know Luffy, he’d go through the MOST dangerous route while putting his crewmates in danger, just like we saw at the end of the Wano arc.
Fans believe this mysterious new island to be Elbaf Island, the land of the giants, as Vegapunk said he and the Straw Hats would go there in Chapter 1090.

As usual, Oda teases another big fight coming up in 2024 but keeps the names a secret. But this fight, according to Sandman on Twitter, will have an unexpected result as the two mysterious people will fight over THE One Piece treasure!
Speculations on social media have gone wild! But the folks over at Anime Balls Deep have deciphered what it could be, thanks to their Anime Bullshit science.
They think that the aforementioned battle is between Blackbeard and Shanks, and the unexpected result will be: SHANKS WILL DIE!
Wouldn’t that be crazy? Yes. Shanks dying so early would be so odd for Luffy to accept. It’d hit even harder than Ace’s death. But then again, Oda had once said that he hopes nobody would have to die in the upcoming arcs. So that might end up not being true.

“Of course, I’ll keep working hard on the manga as well, but this past year, many characters have faced many events. Truly a terrifying world! If Luffy and the others can leave Egghead safely… they should be going to that island. I also considered not taking that route, but I may not be able to stop Luffy. And finally, the battle between *person* and that *person* over the One Piece might have a surprising result!!”
Oda always talks cryptically about the future of One Piece. There’ll be thousands of theories popping up on this, but One Piece fans will be feasting in 2024!
