One Piece Fans Troll Emperor Luffy For Getting Beaten Up By Nami In Episode 1086

ONE PIECE © 1997 by Eiichiro Oda/SHUEISHA Inc.

Nami proves to be the STRONGEST in One Piece once again by hilariously whooping up Yonko Luffy‘s ass while exiting Wano Island in episode 1086.

Nami is enraged with Luffy who decided to descend Wano through the waterfalls instead of the official port, which is a safer route. She was furious that her captain was stupid enough to fall for Kid’s gaslighting to take the risky route and put the lives of his crewmates in unnecessary danger.

Nami even unleashed her Conqueror’s Haki to put Luffy in a cage and make his face all swollen up.

While everyone in the community enjoyed this kind of humor when One Piece first came out, some fans are getting sick of it. They believe it is unnecessary, repetitive and more importantly, undermines Luffy’s strength, intellect, and love for his crewmates.

Hence, fans took to Twitter to relay their frustration on this subject matter, basically telling the creators that they need to stop this recurring gag.

However, a vast majority of fans on Twitter (atleast shown in the tweet’s QRTs and comments) think otherwise, saying that Luffy deserves it, putting his friends’ lives in danger for his ego. They further state that not only Nami but Sanji, Zoro and the others beat him up for this.

Some of the fans are also glad that the OG humor has returned to One Piece, feeling that they’ve been missing these light-hearted moments from time to time.

On the other hand, Nami fans found this the chance to hilariously gaslight her as being stronger than a Yonko, saying that Nami is stronger than even the admirals.

Whether you like this gag or not, there’s no doubt that Nami’s influence and character development will always be relevant to Luffy and the others in the series. And hope that power scalers do not take this beating up so seriously and lose their heads.
