Dragon Ball DAIMA Wins Astra Award for Best Anime
Dragon Ball DAIMA is the second anime recognized by the Astra TV Awards.
On June 10, 2025, at the 5th Astra TV Awards, Dragon Ball DAIMA won the “Best Anime Series” Award, beating the likes of Dandadan, Fire Force, Lazarus, Apothecary Diaries, and Solo Leveling Season 2.
Solo Leveling won the Astra Award for “Best Anime Series” in 2024, which was the first time the category was introduced.
This makes Dragon Ball DAIMA the second anime recognized by the Hollywood Creative Alliance.
While Dragon Ball DAIMA did win as the Best Anime Series, Solo Leveling gained recognition with Aleks Le, the English voice actor for protagonist Sung Jin-woo, having won “Best Lead Voice-Over Performance”, beating Stephanie Nadolny, who voices Mini-Goku in Dragon Ball DAIMA.
Dragon Ball DAIMA also received a nomination for “Favorite Cartoon” at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Award 2025, the first of its kind since Pokemon in 2000. The Kid’s Choice Award show will be held on June 21, 2025.
