The official Dragon Ball website revealed Toyotaro‘s storyboard for the opening of Dragon Ball Super Chapter 93 titled “Operation: Pan’s Abduction” on May 12, 2023 and it gave something for fans to talk about.

While the current Super Hero arc is a recap of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie, fans were nevertheless looking forward to extra scenes or sequences that weren’t part of the movie. And sadly that hasn’t happened yet.

However, DBS Chapter 93 recapped Dragon Ball Super: Broly in 3 panels and most importantly, fixed a very controversial line Goku made in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero where he thinks meditation is useless and tells Vegeta that he’s wasting his time.

Fans were outraged by this line, seeing it as a regression of Goku into an idiot who doesn’t realise the benefits of meditation, which is odd given the numerous instances in which Goku was shown meditating throughout the anime and manga.

To the relief of fans, Dragon Ball Super manga illustrator Toyotaro has corrected that line in the manga’s adaptation of the Super Hero arc, along with Vegeta not just fixating on Jiren but also Broly, Moro, Gas and Frieza! This is something fans hoped Toyotaro would do and he’s fulfilled that wish.

In the manga, Goku doesn’t diss meditation as a vital part in training but is rather surprised that Vegeta decided to do it! He’s changed!

Throughout the series, the Saiyan Prince was seen meditating only ONCE, where he trained his mind to hone his Spirit on planet Yardrat.

In the previous chapter, Piccolo managed to infiltrate the hideout of the nefarious Red Ribbon Army. While inside the enemy’s base, the stoic Namekian warrior learns of the existence of a new threat, Cell Max, and scrambles to prepare Earth’s defenses for the oncoming onslaught!

While all this is happening on Earth, Goku, Vegeta, and even Broly are undergoing some intense training on Beerus’s Planet…

Dragon Ball Super Chapter 93 is set to be published in V Jump’s super-sized July edition on Friday, May 19th, in Japan and May 18th overseas on the Mangaplus App!
