Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Manga Proves Successful With Only Four Volumes

With only four volumes, Boruto managed to garner a million total sales and double the number of readers online!

On May 17, 2025, it is revealed that Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is averaging 2.6 million readers per chapter on Manga Plus across all languages, holding the highest average readership in Shonen Jump history as no other series has surpassed an average of one million readers per chapter.

As of present rankings, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is followed by One Piece in second, Chainsaw Man in third, Dandadan in fourth and Kaiju No.8 in fifth.

On volume sales, as of April 18, 2025, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has reached 1 million sales across its four volumes.

Even Without An Anime For 3 Years, Boruto is at the Top

According to the TV Tokyo (Broadcast TV network for Boruto and Naruto) financial report for Fiscal Year Ending March 31, 2025, both Boruto and Naruto provided it

While Naruto had lasting popularity due to its cultural impact, the sequel Boruto would actually outrank Naruto, more likely due to its recency and continued publication.

New Volume Incoming

Around the same time, it was announced that Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Volume 5 will be released on July 4, 2025 but no cover has yet to be revealed.

There have been two volume covers, the first and fourth volume featuring the protagonist Boruto, the second featuring Himawari and the third showing Sarada.

Mitsuki and Kawaki have yet to be featured, though Konohamaru and any of the Shinju, mainly Matsuri and Ryu, might be potential candidates for the cover.
