Episode 293 of the anime, titled “Farewell” continues the current story, with Kawaki having killed Boruto in front of Naruto. We then see Boruto come back to life as Momoshiki sacrifices a certain percentage of his Karma to resurrect Boruto, keeping the two alive.
Towards the end of the episode, we see Boruto and Kawaki have a short conversation atop the Hokage faces. The two discuss Boruto’s prophecy in brief and announce their decision for the future.
Kawaki simply states that he will kill anyone who threatens Lord Seventh, Naruto. This includes Boruto still, as 85% of Momoshiki is still alive inside of Boruto.
Boruto, on the other hand, has decided that he will fight this prophecy and prove it wrong!
