50 Year-Old Legal Affairs Bureau Officer Prosecuted For Assaulting A Subordinate For Being Spoilt On Oshi No Ko

The Kyoto Prefectural Police took custody of a 50-year-old man on April 30, 2024, who has been prosecuted for allegedly grabbing and kicking a subordinate by the chest because, apparently, the old man got pissed at the subordinate just for being spoilt in the latest installments of the Oshi No Ko manga.
On Feb 1, the man and the subordinate were just casually chatting at the Kyoto District Legal Affairs Bureau Uji Branch Office and the subordinate told him about about Oshi No Ko’s latest chapters. At that moment, the 50-year-old became furious, yelling out, “I don’t want spoilers!” And that is when he proceeded to beat the shit out of him.
The subordinate, though unhurt, lodged a complaint with the Uji Police Station, leading to an inquiry by law enforcement. As a result, on April 30, 2024, the Kyoto Prefectural Police opted to press charges against the supervisor for assault. The accused, employed at the primary office of the Kyoto District Legal Affairs Bureau, now confronts legal consequences as the case progresses.
In response to an interview with the Mainichi Shimbun, the Legal Affairs Bureau said, “Since the investigation is currently ongoing, we will refrain from commenting.”

About Oshi No Ko:
Oshi no Ko is a Japanese manga series written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since April 2020, with its chapters collected in 14 tankōbon volumes as of April 2024.
