In the previous Four Knights of the Apocalypse chapter, Lancelot loses control and kills Zeldris

Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 259 is titled, “The End of a Rampage”

Editor’s note: “Demon King Zeldris falls… With the Demon Realm now laid waste, his older brother Meliodas…”

Cover Caption: “The bond between brothers remains unchanged.”

The cover shows Meliodas and Zeldris sitting on a bench together with modern clothes.

Zeldris is reading a book titled, “Knights of Hope”, representing Percival, the Knight of Hope while drinking from a cup likely held by his wife Gelda.

Meanwhile, Meliodas is texting with a phone, wearing a “King of (something)” shirt, with a smaller Hawk right next to him.

The chapter begins with Schwarz reaching out for a bisected Zeldris, who calls out for Gelda.

The Demons near her worry about her but Gelda assures them that Zeldris will return.

With the gate to the Abyss closed, the Demons will be forever removed from their homeland and therefore impossible for them to return with their own strength.

Lancelot wipes out the entire Demon Realm by himself, including the stragglers and the Indura left behind.

An entire world is erased overnight.

Meliodas walks with Elizabeth, who looks like her younger self from the original series.

This is clearly a dream.

They talk about how Diane did not want to be called “Lady” now that she is Queen of the Fairy King’s Forest.

Meliodas turns around and sees Zeldris, with Meliodas, seeing Elizabeth and Hawk gone, realizes he is in a dream.

Zeldris shows Meliodas the destroyed Demon Realm caused by Lancelot, who is controlled by Chaos.

Zeldris is surprised Meliodas does not know recent events.

Meliodas worries about Zeldris, who says that he evacuated the Demon Clan to the Abyss alongside Gelda.

So he asks Meliodas if he can take care of his people.

Once closed, the gate to the Abyss cannot be reopened by anyone not possessing the power equivalent to that of the Demon King.

As it turns out, Zeldris lacks the amount of power of a Demon King but Meliodas does, so only he can free the Demon Clan and be its leader in this time of crisis.

Meliodas does not register this bit but asks if what he said about Lancelot is true.

Zeldris expresses how deep down, he has always wanted to fight such a formidable foe in his last moments, dying as a proud warrior, so he was happy Lancelot fulfilled his last wish.

Zeldris tells Meliodas to save Lancelot because he knows that the latter’s lover Guinevere was taken hostage by Cath Palug.

This is why Zeldris never showed a shred of hostility or animosity towards Lancelot.

Like Lancelot, Zeldris’ lover Gelda was also taken captive, with the Demon King threatening to kill her if Zeldris did not obey him.

However, due to his grief from almost losing Elizabeth, Meliodas lost his willpower to fight.

Zeldris says that he understands Meliodas’ pain but then asks what would Elizabeth say if this makes her regret protecting him with her own power.

Not wanting a repeat of Gelda being unable to be with Zeldris for so long, Zeldris tells Meliodas not to  waste Elizabeth’s feelings.

Then Zeldris walks off, with Meliodas crying out for his younger brother not to leave him.

Meliodas wakes up with tears in his eyes.

The chapter ends with Elizabeth telling Meliodas to stop crying over someone’s bed, as it is revealed that she has finally woken up from a supposedly permanent coma.

Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 260 is titled, “The Day of Resurrection” and will be released on November 4, 2026.
