Blue Lock’s SPEEDY Sales Growth Shown, Reaches 65 Million After One Volume

With the release of Volume 40 on August 17th, Blue Lock has sold 65 million copies worldwide.

This is insane growth as it was only on June 4th, with the release of the previous Volume 39, that Blue Lock officially hit the 60 million sales milestone.

Less than a year ago on September 2025, Blue Lock hit the 50 million copies milestone after 7 years.

This makes Blue Lock the 38th best-selling series of all time, climbing up by one rank after only 2 months.

Within the span of a single year, Blue Lock sold over 15 million copies total, which could put it at an unprecedented record for best-selling series in 2026 alongside One Piece, which reached 600 million after 4 years being at 516.566 million copies.

This is a similar case for Blue Lock’s middle years as Blue Lock was the best-selling manga of 2023, having scored 23 million copies sold in just the first half of the year alone.

While the Oricon ranking would stop the count at every November, we could still see at least 10 million copies being considered, although this is a combination of digital copies and international ones while Oricon only counts Japanese sales.

As of the first half of 2026, Blue Lock is sitting neatly at 4th place just below Jujutsu Kaisen (with Frieren and One Piece above it) at 1.26 million copies sold from November 17, 2025 to May 17, 2026.

Within that radius, Blue Lock’s sales soared internationally and the same can be said of the likes of One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen, both having the ability to yield 50 million sales worldwide within the span of a year.

This also coincides with the release of the Blue Lock live-action film on August 7th, which has grossed 1.2 billion yen or over $ 6 million in Japan alone and staed national Top 10 for three consecutive weekends.
