In a span of only 9 months, Blue Lock manages to sell from 50 million to 60 million copies, being one of the best-selling series in 2026.

On June 4, 2026, it was announced that Blue Lock has exceeded 60 million copies sold.

This makes Blue Lock the 39th best-selling manga of all time.

On September 2025, Blue Lock hit the 50 million copies milestone after 7 years.

This means Blue Lock has sold over 10 million copies in a span of 9 months on a pace nearly as close as One Piece or Jujutsu Kaisen in the same timeframe.

Blue Lock has been quite impressive over the years, beung the best-selling manga of 2023, having scored 23 million copies sold in just the first half of the year alone.

Blue Lock would also be the 13th best-selling ongoing manga, the 9th best selling manga from Kodansha overall and its 3rd  best-seller as of the present day, behind Hajime no Ippo and The Kindaichi Case Files, both long-running series since the 1990s that have sold over 100 million copies worldwide.

Furthermore, on Oricon’s half-year comic sales, Blue Lock is ranked 4th, with 1.2 million copies sold from November 17, 2025 to May 17, 2026.

It is likely that by the time the manga is over, Blue Lock would reach the 100 million mark, especially if it will last more than 10 years.

Four Major Projects

To honor the milestone, Blue Lock will have four projects lined up.

This news would be announced next week, June 10th, where Blue Lock will on the cover and receive the lead color page in Weekly Shōnen Magazine Issue 29.
