Editor’s note:Â “True mastery needs no words”
The chapter begins where we left off as Garou and Suiryu back away, with Garou remarking that the last attack he pulled was inspired by Saitama.
Suiryu was impressed Garou noticed.
He monologues mentally about how Garou has been trying to replicate Saitama’s punch that was beyond comprehension and which he had tanked before as Cosmic Garou.
Seeing how similar both of their attacks were to Saitama, Garou smirks.
He thinks that Suiryu is also trying to reach Saitama’s level, something Suiryu notes about Garou as well.
When this is pointed out, Garou freaks out and suddenly the Monster they fought before rises out of the rubble, which Bang cuts clean in half with one hand as he tells the two that they have had enough sparring.
While everyone including Suiryu fanboys over Silverfang, Garou tells the old man he did not ask for him to step in.
Bang recognizes Suiryu of the Void Fist and says that seeing the two youths spar brings him so much hope to pass on the torch one day.
He also notes that Suicho, Suiryu and Suiko’s grandfather and inventor of the Void Fist technique, will be proud of Suiryu’s growth.
Suiryu is surprised the former Hero Hunter is attempting to be a Hero too.
This leads into Bang’s announcement that Garou will be an S-rank Hero with the name Silverfang, inheriting Bang’s title and legacy.
Garou clarifies he never said he was going to take over but Bang insists he should say that he is “glad to be on board”.
Observing that Garou’s attack was no longer like that of the former Hero Hunter, Suiryu says that he is looking forward to Garou becoming a Hero and he in turn intends to train harder.
Garou scoffs at how obsessed everyone is at becoming a Hero.
Suddenly, the Monster continues attacking even after Bang had taken care of it, with Suiryu remarking that it is indeed a regenerative type.
Garou calls for the B-Class Hero Mad Devil Yankee to help him take down the Monster and Yankee apologizes to his boss at the warehouse.
Seeing Garou made Suiryu leave the Neo-Heroes the next day.
One Punch Man Chapter 239 will likely be released online on September 18, 2026.
