Laxus’s Evil Dad Ivan Dreyar IS BACK After 14 Years! Fairy Tail – ReFantasia Chapter 4 Spoilers!
After 14 years, Laxus’ wicked dad makes his move to steal Fairy Tail. Will Laxus have a proper rematch with him? Or will Eraser take over as the final villain?
In the previous Fairy Tail – Re:Fantasia chapter, Eraser reveals himself as the one behind the attack, with a special interest in LAxus.
Fairy Tail – Re:Fantasia Chapter 4 is titled, “Laxus Drops In”
This chapter has 20 pages.
The cover shows Natsu stuck in a block of ice while the moon drips, referencing the fourth arc: the Sub-Zero Emperor Lyon Arc, where Lyon Vestia attempted to revive Deliora to prove himself.
Each chapter cover references an arc: from how Lucy first met Natsu to Lucy’s first mission during the third arc, the Eisenwald Arc, where they faced Erigor the “Grim Reaper” and his guild Eisenwald’s plan to revive Lullaby, one of the Demons from the Books of Zeref.
The chapter begins with Erza and team explaining the situation: that Eraser is from Onibas, which is a 30 minute train ride there, and that they need to stop him before they cause further trouble.
The other Fairy Tail members report their subjugation of the Dust minions.
Jellal is inside the Fairy Tail guild as if nothing happened, and states that Eraser’s team used to be on the Council.
Elfman is surprised to see Ichiya, who looks even more beat up after he interrupted the pageant in Chapter 2.
Cana states that they now have bigger things to worry about than the Fantasia parade.
Jellal asks what it is and Gray smoothly tells him that Erza will be dancing in a swimsuit, making Jellal fluster.
As the Thunder Tribe were about to explain what Laxus was going to do for this year’s Parade, they realize he was never even there.
That is because Laxus heads to Onibas himself, to the hideout of Eraser to confront him.
Natsu goes after the missing Laxus while Jellal offers to protect the town, with everyone once again being confused why Jellal is bossing them around, a town devoid of people, which Eraser confirms is their doing.
Laxus remarks that he “smells” a certain someone on Eraser, so the latter gets to the point about Eraser’s employer and his demand: Fairy Tail but Laxus assers that it is something he should discuss with Makarov.
So Eraser suggests making Laxus a hostage.
However, midway into charging against Eraser, Laxus suddenly loses his magic thanks to Clean
While the other two are hard to identify, Clean is recognizable as Fairy Tail’s version of Kleene Rutherford, a member of the Edens Zero crew.
Even then, Laxus blows up the whole building, something Team Erza spots easily.
Laxus collapses from exerting much power while being cleaned of his magic.
They were all impressed, saying the rumors about Laxus don’t do him justice.
A flying doll comes out.
As it turns out, the real mastermind behind Eraser is none other than Laxus’ despicable father, Ivan Dreyar.
Yep, after 14 years, Ivan makes his reappearance since his time in the Grand Magic Games ended.
He hired Eraser and his guild to acquire Fairy Tail for himself in exchange for the White Lacrima.
However, judging from what we know about him, Ivan will be a pathetic failure and Eraser will likely take charge.
The White Lacrima could be tied to Whiteout, the magic of Athena, the original White Wizard, and Elentir Faris, as well as the 100 Years Quest series but the timeline looks iffy here.
