Laxus X Mirajane Confirmed?!! Fairy Tail: Re:Fantasia Chapter 2 Spoilers!
This chapter seems to reinforce the Laxus and Mirajane ship more than anywhere else in Fairy Tail.
In the first Fairy Tail Re:Fantasia chapter, Laxus distances himself from the upcoming Magnolia Harvest Festival and Fantasia Parade but a mysterious villain appears to rain on everyone’s parade.
Fairy Tail ReFantasia Chapter 2 is titled, “The Fair at the Cathedral”
This chapter has 20 pages.
The cover shows Lucy, Natsu and Happy eating in a restaurant, with Natsu eating a chicken drumstick, Happy a fish and Lucy was still nervously staring at her boys.
The Miss Fairy Contest began, with each candidate showing off their quirk:
Cana’s drinking, Levy reading books, Juvia being damp, and of course, the spotlight stealer herself, Erza, switching between Bunny Suit, Gothic Lolita, Swimwear and Kitty Kat.
Gray sees his victory, provoking Natsu.
Lucy comes in with her cheerleading outfit but she is beaten by the more adorable Wendy.
When it is Mirajane’s turn, Ichiya comes up instead, resulting in Fairy Tail throwing a fit.
They all wonder where Mirajane is, not giving Evergreen her turn.
As it turns out, Mirajane was visiting Laxus inside Kardia Cathedral, which has been rebuilt for the second time after August and Gildarts destroyed it during their fight.
Yes, Mirajane prioritized Laxus over the traditional Miss Fairy Tail.
First, she shares the story of how St. Michael asked the town priest to construct the cathedral in the middle of town so he can watch over.
This was already told to us early into Fairy Tail, which might confirm that Christianity in some form exists in the Fairy Tail multiverse.
Laxus feels guilt over destroying the Cathedral the first time.
Mira sits down next to Laxus, asking why he was not joining.
Laxus makes up the excuse that he does not want to dress up in a silly outfit for the parade, with Mira countering that he already did something embarrassing, referencing to what Laxus said earlier.
Laxus was surprised by how much Mirajane had changed: from a rough tomboy punk who picked fights with everyone, including Laxus himself, to a gentle soul.
Mira smiled, saying Laxus changed too.
This chapter seems to be leaning hard on the Laxus x Mirajane ship.
In the cover of Fairy Tail Chapter 380, we see Laxus and Mirajane dancing.
Of note, Evergreen and Elfman, Mirajane’s younger brother, are a couple, so in a way it all adds up.
Suddenly, they hear a loud boom as we see the villain of this spinoff attack Magnolia Central Park with black figures carved with kanji for Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Magic, etc, representing the powers of each Fary Tail member.
This hints that the Fairy Tail members will face against some sort of clones or counters.
The chapter ends with the villain confronting Jellal Fernandes.
