Hunter x Hunter Might Break Its Release Schedule
After 14 years, Togashi might break the mold and once again release more than 10 chapter batches for 2026.
On July 8, 2026, Hunter x Hunter author Yoshihiro Togashi has submitted Chapter 423 to Shueisha.
A week before on July 1, 2026, Togashi has submitted Chapter 422.
Previously on May 26, over a month ago, he submitted Chapter 421.
We have 3 extra chapters, part of the second batch Togashi worked on, with Shonen Jump and it could potentially mean the return of consecutive batches unseen since the start of the Succession Contest Arc in March 19, 2012.
This might be the first time Togashi has tweeted about submitting a new chapter to his editors while Hunter x Hunter is actively running in Jump.
Normally, he only posts these kinds of updates during hiatuses but now he is providing finished chapters in the middle of the serialization.
As of June 14th, Togashi has completed character inking up to Chapter 431 and as of July 4th, Chapter 428 is nearly done, meaning that in the coming weeks, the second batch will be completely ready for delivery to Shonen Jump.
