In the previous Four Knights of the Apocalypse chapter, it appears the Four Knights have lost to their five children.

Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 242 is titled, “A Predicament”

This chapter has 20 pages.

The chapter cover features Anne and Nasiens on the grassland with the doodle of Percy’s head above them.

The chapter begins where we left off as Ysaie tells Galahad to eliminate the “fake” Lancelot but Lancelot tells his son that while he is fine taking on all five of the Holy Grail Knights by himself, they should have made sure their opponents were down for the count.

Indeed, Percival breaks out of the arrow tree with the giant head made of his magic, Hope, with Percy remarking that he could have ended up a hedgehog.

Tristan was surprised his sword was broken since he maintained it before their departure.

Lancelot reveals he shot Tristan’s sword through the fake Escanor in Chapter 237: “The Unexpected Meeting”

We see Tristan’s outfit with a hole at his intact belly, revealing that Ysaie’s thrust did nothing

Llywarch tells the others to keep their cool but suddenly, the Holy Grail melts as Gawain reveals that this was an illusion.

Lohengrin realizes that the mass of magic that broke out of the Blackthorn Winter was a Life Spirit.

Percival reveals himself as the Life Spirit that emerged.

Sensing familiarity, Kardeiz gets close.

Suddenly, the eel-like creature from before gobbles up Kardeiz, with Lohengrin asking the others for help, much to Llywarch’s annoyance as she is busy with Gawain.

Suddenly, Percival flies up Lohengrin to rescue Kardeiz, saying that they will save her friend.

Lohengrin clarifies that Kardeiz is her precious brother from another mother.

She worries that they will not be able to catch up but Percy says there is no need.

We see Pinocchio in Monstro’s belly, I mean, Kardeiz in the eel’s belly.

Kardeiz meditates on how the world she and the others are in now is different from what she knew.

Suddenly, Percival and Lohengrin appear, revealing that they flew midair to act as bait to be swallowed.

Lohengrin is surprised that the man they face looks exactly like the oddball they know.

So they ask if he has a lover, with Percival admitting he has two wives: Nasiens and Anghalhad.

The two siblings then put their hair on Percival’s mouth, with Lohengrin’s braid as the mustache and Kardeiz’s tuff as the beard, confirming that Percival will grow facial hair like his grandfather Varghese.

Lohengrin and Kardeiz refer to Percival as “Papa”, a more informal and intimate way of calling him.

They are confused as to why Percival looks so young.

They tell their father to listen calmly and reveal that they are his children, much to Percival’s shock.

Ysaie is surprised that Tristan was able to block his attack and we see him grab Ysaie’s lance and toss it away.

Tristan tells Ysaie not to talk about the Demon power casually as it was abhorred for fighting and hurting many races in the past.

He indirectly brings up his own father Meliodas, who shed blood and tears to wield it to protect people he loves.

Ysaei is intimidated as Tristan says that anyone showing no determination whatsoever should never talk about the Demon power.

They punch each other and when Ysaie hits Tristan’s forehead, he is unfazed as Tristan activates the Demon power.

Ysaie is shocked as he realizes the man he is fighting is actually his father.
