FAKE Escanor BEATS Lancelot EASILY! Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 237 Spoilers!
To the shock of the entire fandom, the first opponent to truly beat post-timeskip Lancelot is actually a fake Escanor, which only has a fraction of the strength the real one possesses.
In the previous Four Knights of the Apocalypse chapter, Gawain reunites with her father, Escanor.
Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 237 is titled, “Fateful Encounter”
This chapter has 20 pages.
The chapter cover shows Escanor in his weaker state carrying Gawain.
This is so adorable to look at.
Percival and Gawain wonder who this man in front of them is but Lancelot and Tristan know him to be the Lion’s Sin of Pride, Escanor, the Strongest of the Seven Deadly Sins!
Gawain thinks this person is her father.
Lancelot clarifies this being is merely a copy of Escanor created using Camelot’s power.
Okay, so Merlin is making fakes then.
Tristan and Percival are motivated to take down this fake.
However, although slightly warned by Gawain, Escanor was able to knock Percival to the wall with Rhitta and with his other hand, Escanor grabs Tristan’s head and slams him to the ground.
Expressing an interest to fight the real Escanor, Lancelot dodges Escanor’s attacks and stabs him in the abdomen with his bare hand but this somehow heals and Lancelot remarks that his wrist got broken.
Lance grabs the Dragon Sword and uses Shining Road to obliterate the copy yet this does nothing.
Escanor fires back with Cruel Sun but this is intercepted by Gawain’s version, Passionate Sun.
Gawain is frustrated that even a copy of her father does not recognize her and so she introduces herself, institing that she meets her mother Merlin and also wonders if he will even hit his cute daughter.
To Gawain’s shock, Escanor does punch her in the face, then he kicks her, which makes Gawain cry, feeling unwanted and unloved by her own daddy.
Lancelot’s reminder fell on deaf ears.
Then Gawain smacks Escnaor like a brat in her tantrum but since her fist has own blood, this causes the illusion to vanish.
Percival thinks the copy might be stronger than the original.
However, this was no mere illusion but is the property of Merlin’s Sacred Treasure Aldan (the orb)
In the original series, we never knew Aldan’s true ability, other than being able to safeguard Merlin’s soul and aid in her spellcasting.
Now, we have the name for Aldan’s ability in the sequel series, Analysis, which allows Merlin to copy Escanor’s physical abilities and, combined with Camelot’s power of illusions, creates the “strongest watchman”.
Yet that being said, his body, magic and Sacred treasure are but creations in the end.
Behind Gawain, the orb appears and reveals Merlin’s full body to introduce herself.
Four Knights of the Apocalypse 238 is titled, “The King’s Resolve” and will be released on May 20, 2026.
